IDK how good of a deal this is, but seems reasonable given I very recently dropped $25 on a 64GB variant. Great little USB drive. Great option for those with unRAID servers (according to some video that a mate linked me that put these right up there with the best, with a sprinkle of "trust me bro"). Publicly shame me if I'm dead wrong though!

Is this the one that had issues with the temperature getting hot and also melting the plastic, or am i mistaken?

    • Honestly, no idea, but this was the video I spoke about for performance, reliability, and operating temperature: https://youtu.be/jjkaidlZmgs?t=580

    • I would think it wouldn't have temperature problems as the part that goes in is metal but I'm not sure.

You are mistaken. Thats the SANDISK Fit.

The Samsung Fit is an amazing drive and significantly faster, and worlds cooler.

      • And bigger (physically), which is a little annoying if you use it as permanent storage on a laptop, more likely to snag taking it out the bag. The Sandisk (slower, hotter) doesn't have this issue.

        • You want fast, cool and tiny?
          No problem.

I use several personally; they're flawless.

  • Not sure about the temp issue but there is a few feedback there that says it is not a genuine Samsung item…

    • Well that is concerning…

The reason why some people said that they are fake simply because lack of serial number on the packaging is somewhat due to ill-informed customer service agents. Samsung products are identified for authenticity via mainly two softwares: (1) Samsung Memory Card/UFD Authentication Utility and (2) Samsung Magician: The former is mainly for USB drives and memory cards and the latter is for SSD products. Using the wrong authentication software may gives different outcome.

      Hope this clarifies.

    • very stupid customers who said fake, lol

  • These drives are amazing.

They stay cool and run fast. I've got 2 of them as my main USB stick (I work IT and have a whole bunch of tools and stuff on mine - it's super handy!)

Don't forget to put a keychain or lanyard something on it, they're really small and so easy to lose….

Is this the same thing, except it's from Amazon US instead of Amazon UK, and 70c cheaper? https://amzn.asia/d/bGpAbzp
