Yep it’s new and stupid. Far too small for most people. I was told by a sales rep that it’s designed to be a single serve because the 500ml is more than one serve, even though the nutritional information panel states 1 serving on the 500ml label.
Serving sizes are completely redundant and are never consistent. I was talking to a dietician about this a while ago and it’s a marketing tactic by beverage companies to reduce guilt when shopping for treats. The old “it’s only one serving” justification.
Look at Coke for example:
250ml cans, 375ml cans, and 600ml bottles all say 1 serve per pack, but the ingredients and concentrations are all the same.On their larger 1.25l bottles there are 5 serves, so 1 serve should be a single 250ml can - why can they put 1 serve on all the other sizes too?
Maybe because you're expected to finish each can/ smaller bottle in one hit?
I bought the smaller size specifically because 500mL is too big! But it tastes awful unfortunately.
What a shame. I wasn't offered this freebie in the Flybuys app.

Had a similar free Iced Break offered last week with Woolies but none of the 5 Woolies in my area had it stocked for the promotional week. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the 3 Coles in my area this week!

I’m guessing quite sugary? For those of us that don’t like sugar there aren’t many options but Hunt and Brew (Perth based) are excellent.

Get a bottle of any kind of milk, add instant coffee and sugar to taste. Done.

we have hunt and brew in NSW too. i also find the NSA varieties of ice break and dare pleasant even if they added some additional sweeteners

Same. See my comment above. Most colez don’t stock the double just the single. The T and C of the promo shouldve included both options as the wollies one did

Finally found some in the fridge near checkout (where sushi, sandwiches, etc are) instead of next to their larger siblings in the dairy section (according to Coles app).
320ml …. Must be new, maybe why the 500ml is at a new low price this week.
