    How the pet detection works?

    • +8

My guess is if you have a pet, it will see. If not, it won’t

    • It tags the footage if you're scrolling through heaps of motion alerts. It supposedly can tell from basic shape and movement patterns if it's an animal, person, car or trees swaying the the breeze etc

    • How the pet detection works?

Train your pet to push the button on the camera.

arent tp link ones $50 on amazon
$50 more for optical zoom and gimmicky software detection not really worth it

    • arent tp link ones $50 on amazon

They won't work with the reolink app

      this one 5MP - (2560x1920)
      tp link tapo 1080P (1920x1080)

I have compared both in same spot - reolink picture is much better

  • Advertised as auto-tracking and pan-and-tilt, but auto-tracking only works on pan…

Any deals on the E1 Pro? Don't need the zoom function

  • +2

i have this exact model.. following issues experienced.

    • lens moisture - resolved by not using it outdoors any longer - this happened rather quickly.
    • zoom / focus - gears eventually wore out - stayed out of focus and will not move. bought it through 3rd party (K***n) so Reolink support will not RMA.

I just modded it to be fixed at a fixed focus and zoom then removed the motors. secured the lens with glue gun.

overall not getting one again at least this exact model.

    • Hmmmm I just bought one last month. Let's hope mine lasts. You can turn off tracking to avoid gear movement.

I have heard that Reolink Quality isn't the greatest compared to Dahua or HikVision but that's what they have priced themselves at, the mid-upper $ range. So I expect service and quality to be better.

    • For clarity if anyone else looks back re:moisture, this deal (and comment?) is for the "Reolink E1 Zoom 2.4/5 Ghz 5MP Indoor Cam", not the E1 Outdoor variant.
