this is plain advertising unfortunately. inflatable spas can be bought for a couple of hundred at places like bigw, etc. could this be better quality? maybe. is it a bargain? nope

community, please correct me if i'm wrong and i'll change my vote

    • Got any links? I can't find them on either kmart or Big W's website. Best I can find is Bunning for $1499.

EDIT: Smaller version for $500 at dealsdirect

    • This is bigger and better quality. The price is near cost. You can find good quality 2 & 4 seaters for cheaper, and you can find low quality 6 seaters that are cheaper, but this quality for this size is definitely a bargain.

Remember it also includes shipping as well. Shipping a 42kg item is not cheap

    • yes i saw the cheaper ones at target for $500 last year. ebay also had them and the general price was $600 in bigw kmart and online. there was a place in sydney that did them for $700 delivered and set up

sorry, i dont for bigw, its been a while since my brother in law bought his.
but i did a quick search on ebay
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brand-New-Inflatable-portable-out…

EDIT: Neil, just saw your EDIT. i might be wrong about the $200, but cheaper options can be had for less than $900
to the prospective buyers. i wouldnt bother with this, unless you understand this is a one or two season thing. while they have a leathery/fabricky cover, theyre made of PVC which doesnt last. pump in my brother in law's went very quickly too.

Your link is a 2 person spa. They are selling a 6 person spa. While I'm not in the market for a spa, I'm just trying to make sure we are comparing apples with apples here. Just want to know where to buy alternatively at a cheaper price.

  • ah, you 're right Neil. apologies.
I'll remove my neg, until we find more info.

One criticism of the "Lay-Z Spa" is the lack of spare parts when something goes wrong. I looked into one a couple of years ago and the pumps were giving up early and no one could source parts to repair.

Rep - do you carry a full range of spares for this unit, if anything goes wrong, can it be repaired?

    • Hi Foobar,

Yep we carry the full range of spare parts, everything can be replaced. We have bladders, heaters, elements, panels, repair kits, hoses, etc etc etc.

      Cheers,

      Luke
