with the pixel 7a deal which also had a 150 gift card offer, the electronic gift card came more than a week after i collected my order from the store. I expect similar here.

Just picked one up and just letting you guys know the $150 GC cannot be used as a partial payment for the phone, the sales guy called the manager and he confirmed the GC can only be issued once fully paid and the receipt has been printed as that's used to create the GC. Still a great deal and got to take the gift card with the phone.
The weird thing was they asked me to sign a waiver that there is no change of mind refund policy on the phone if the seal was broken, never had to do that before.They must had some bad experiences before. Lol

nah I think it should be fine. Perks is customer loyalty direct cost to JB while gift card is no doubt subsidised by Google.
In fact I used the GC from 7a few weeks ago on this purchase! it's more likely that would be an issue…GC to get GC…

I've just returned from the store, bought a pixel 7 but I did have to request them to scan my perks code (they requested full amount), then I had to ask for my voucher after they handed the phone over and wished me a good evening and then…. they say they will email it out so I'm like er no that's not how it works.
I received the $150 gift voucher card and instantly grabbed an air fryer and scanned my partners perks code for the 10% off and handed the voucher back to them as part payment, so all good in the end.

Many thanks.Just thinking how it'd compare to pixel 6 pro, that's just $30 costlier, but matches almost all specs of 7 pro with just a few differences.
I know 6 pro will get 7 months less updates than 7 pro. But if I take LineageOS or GrapheneOS into consideration, with only problem that banking apps don't fee comfortable running on custom, sometimes some of those work if you unroot or lock bootloader or even just disable developer mode..
Any thoughts on this?it's not $30, 6 pro doesn't come with $150 GC

Same, I won't start to use it until I get my case and screen protector. Feels fragile. Also, I realised it's smaller but heavier than my current phone. With the report of randomly shattered camera glass, I am not sure whether it's a good decision. Fingerprint scanner seems fine to me.
Bought it Wednesday, turned it on and set it up tonight and having touch sensitivity issues. Going to return to JB tomorrow. Waste of my time
Could be just that fault unit. Maybe check with a replacement before getting refund.

I also haven't received my gift card yet. Just contacted live chat today and like the other commenter mentioned, was told the Online operations team is delayed and gift card should be sent within 24-48 hours. I ordered on 30/5, picked up in store 31/5 via click and collect.

Hey guys, what's your over night idle battery drain? Say 8 hours.
Depends on your settings and there are shitloads of settings in Pixel. You can optimize your standby by disabling some background apps and services. Video below is for Pixel 6a but some tips are relevant to Pixel 7 too.
Did everything I can find over the internet, still drain much more than my previous oppo. I feel it's the mobile network drain. Cos it's was fine on airplane mode. When I actually use it, I am happy with the battery life.
Have you tried disabling mobile data while connected to WiFi. Watch the video I linked from 3:30 onwards. It helped with my idle drain.
@dealhunter52: Yes, tried that from another video. It's not the data connection, it's the weak carrier signal. I am getting like -111 dBm. 4G . -86 dBm for 3G and I feel it drain little less.
