      AI boom with 16GB cards

      A770 $565 = slow plus suspect drivers, 4080 $1699 = 4070 Ti 16GB performance with a 4080 Ti price

      AMD in the middle with limited supply and all the hobbyists have been cleaning them up

          Not even close to the new crypto but there is elevated demand for AMD cards from the 6800 up to the 7900 XTX because of their 16/20/24GB VRAM

          Same reason why 4060 Ti 16GB is being released in July

          That is not a gaming card - it is Jacket Man throwing a bone so he does not completely lose the AI hobbyist building the next Metabook in their dorm room

    I agree with above 6700xt price point, 6800 and 6800XT you could snag for less than $700 (non XT) and $800 (XT) in the tail end of last year.

    Interesting, there were 4070's last week for ~$850, so 5% faster and 5% cheaper than these RX6800XTs!

    Think that means AMD are running out of surplus stock, while Nvidia has plenty they are holding onto :/
