A fighting game hasn't got such a high score in the 90s on MetaCritic. Smash Bros Ultimate was the last moon traditional one. Most of the traditional 2d fighters with those scores are from the 1990s.
This will set the bar high for new Tekken and Mortal Kombat. Bring back the golden age of 2D fighting!
If I knew I was getting the complete game inc all updates later I’d be all over this, but the pay model they have now with paying for later characters etc I’ll just wait for a game of the year edition or something. Guess I’m just an old fart when it comes to paying for dlc

if youre into online ranked battles then you get the most out of the game at each content release point when interest levels and lobby capacities are peaked.
i too dislike the pay model but im happy to support the SF series, now that is is back on xbox environment after missing SF5 altogether.
Shipped today, doubt it'll arrive tomorrow if it's coming from Mighty Ape in NZ but I guess I'll be busy enough with Diablo.
$4 cheaper than the XSX version. I hoped to use the Perks voucher to get it from JB but for some reason the perks code doesnt work for pre-order games, it does work for games that are already released, though (in case anyone had that idea too).
