Woolworths Are Looking for Feedback on Their Stupid Changes. Time to Complain People

According to the Sydney Morning Herald Woolworths are “collating customer feedback” about their ridiculous changes to everyday rewards. I just complained…needed to speak to a person but it only took a couple of minutes. It’s 1300 10 1234. Choose option 1, but be nice to the operator it’s not their fault. Time to get whinging everyone.

    • As in don't shop @ Woolies?

      • +4

Yep. Literally dump them for a while and give to coles. They’ll give you all sorts of deals to come back. The longer you stay loyal to these guys the less deals you get.

I shop at both Colesworth based on price. The deals they offer are just nice to have extras, kinda like CR.

@franco cozzo: Yup I don't get much from either of them lately.
Fruit and veg from the local organic shop or other independents, meat from the local butcher and other stuff from Aldi.

@EightImmortals: I do the same for meat & fruit/veg however ALDI doesn't have the range offered by Colesworth so cannot do a direct grocery item swap

Hasn't everyone been getting the $2 vegemite coins worth X 3 and cleaning up the last 2-3 weeks.
Sorry only insiders starting with Managers are getting them LOL :)
BTW where is the deal . Hehe better it be quite :)

  • IMHO we (consumers) missed the boat on expressing shopper pushback, when they (mainly Colesworth and Aldi) stopped providing choice, and push marketed to their generic crap or limited supplier model.

Most retailers (not just food) are choosing a reward model, and that in itself puts prices in a higher position to begin with. In the end pre this model we would have got it (pro rata to inflation) the same prices as the 'reward price.

The lowest price model has been tangled up in hoop jumping pseudo loyalty crap and they also get the bonus of flogging off your data.

    Negged for that?

Is there a separate number for stealth subscription scams or do we just call the ACCC?

  • Does it have to do with the Woolworths Prepaid 10% off nolonger working with online orders?

may as well yell at the clouds!

  • We have been deluged with emails for this crap. A couple of days ago I put an automatic delete on all emails from Woolies rewards. One of my gripes is that even if a couple has linked cards, it is only the card that does the spending that can get the fuel discount. There is a sneaky clause in the Ts&Cs that says they have system troubles causing that.

The feedback poll is all nothing but a PR stunt. When the poll closes they will proudly announce "the majority of callers have overwhelmingly supported the changes"

  • What are the recent changes to everyday rewards? The offers we're getting? I think they've gotten better since we no longer have to buy everything in one shop, instead we can do multiple purchases over the week to complete our offer.

They're still advertising the old rates on the back of receipts.

    • That’s brilliant

Using those receipts, Existing policy holders/New signups should be able to get WW to match those rates or they’d be liable for false advertising?

  • What changes?

I kept delivery for convenience but let go of everyday extra. My big shopping will be at Aldi, and I’ll save more than 10%…

    No hard feelings
