620

Hi ladies and gents, Origin Energy has just released a new friends and family offer (details below) for electricity and gas - I am an employee, hence how I have this information. Hopefully this is of benefit to some during these expensive times.

Edit: This applies to new AND existing customers.

This below rates apply to each fuel. You do not need to accept both to be eligible for the rates. The $150 is only for electricity and doesn't require gas.

Please do not contact me via DM or request any further details. I do not work in sales so cannot answer your questions.

State Elec Gas
VIC 26% 17%
NSW 11% & $150 credit 10%
QLD 10% & $150 credit 9%
SA 11% & $150 credit 9%
ACT 35% & $150 credit 35%
WA N/A 33%

This URL gives you access to the offers above. I do suggest you compare any rates and fees with your existing providers as I do not work in sales, so cannot confirm what other providers currently offer.

*Credit offer: Not available in Victoria or WA. Offer available to residential electricity customers who sign up to an Origin Go Variable plan as part of the Origin Family and Friends offer. Offer starts 22 May and ends 30 June 2023 (Offer Period). One credit per electricity account per Offer Period. Credit applied to customer’s electricity account after 1 July 2023 if the electricity account the customer signed up to is still active.

After 1 July, if you’re still on the same electricity plan we’ll apply $150 credit to your account. You’ll be able to see it on your account balance in My Account, or on your next bill after 1 July.

        • I do, but I use most of what I generate so would rather have better peak rates.

Just noticed Lumo's rates have increased on their website but nothing in my inbox about a price rise.

I got an email 15 minutes later saying they had transferred the money.

    • Nice. I tried to request the refund, it says successful but nothing seems to be happening. I can still see $150 credit in origin

  • Already left them after using up the $150 - got a call offering me 23% the market rate to stay

Can’t beat energy locals 100% off courtesy of Amex and my 15 cards.
