    US$3 off US$20 stacks with code - JUNEUP3 - checked & confirmed working.

If you want it on rubber it's a bit cheaper. Don't forget cashrewards.

Commented before Jimothy on watch deal. He must be at KFC busy.

    • +1

Haha this is his favourite watch too. He has the green dial.

      • +2

I know why. Bloody awesome for the price.

    • +3

Hopefully he hasn't been consuming dairy tonight 😜

    • +3

Lol I actually did pig out on kfc yesterday

Swapped my usual double pepsi freeze chasers for sparkling bottled water though yesterday :)

Hmmm help me understand the proposition of these watches. If I want to know the time, it's too expensive. If I want to show off my status, it's trash…

If I want to show off my status, it's trash…

Lol. You might just like the style of watch.

    • +1

Your status with this watch proves you have enough brains to get an excellent value for money time piece.

You are not wearing this hoping to fool Grand Seiko, Omega, Patek owners.

    • +8

I personally wear a transformers watch to show off my status.

  • Is this the lume monster?

    • +1

Yes the status of the lume is very good. Watch the lume wars video in the description.

    • They're pretty good lol

But for some reason the lume colour on the dial doesn't match the one on the face..

    • +1

the lume leaves many others for dead. its unreal.

I've had these for just under a year now. Watch felt a little bulky initially, but you get used to it very quickly. I prefer it as my daily.

You're getting a sapphire glass, which is super durable and will last much better for daily compared to most of the Seiko's for example, since they are Hardlex.

    • Yep, despite changing my steel band for silicone, it's still my heaviest watch at 128g. Standard was 192g.

For reference, my Citizen BU2040 is 103g and Pulsar 3981 @ 90g, both on silicone bands.
These were my heaviest until SD1970 strutted into town.

Lightest remain TWS Y118 and VR46 at 60g each.
      The joy of carbon.

10/10 can recommend , will change your life.

    • +1

      Has your status improved?

      • +3

yes my life is split between two periods, before sd1970, and after sd1970

          BC, AD, SD (after 2023)

  • Few questions if anyone has the time:

    1. The title says ~A$113.40. But when I open the link, it says AU$108.44 even without applying a coupon code. Are the coupons applied automatically?

    2. What's the difference if I buy it from other stores, for example this store, which is almost the same price (AU$110.03). Will the coupon code work if I buy a watch from the Steeldive Offical Store?

    3. Is this watch heavy? Would it bother you wearing it all day if you had skinny arms?

    4. How does this watch compare to similar ones like sd1974, sd1977 and sd1980? I can't see much difference.

    5. Is there a no date version of sd1970? I can't seem to find one.

    Thanks

    • +1
      1. are you on app? and coupons get added at end, and 108.44 is exlcuding gst (which is added at the end, just to stitch you up with what you think is a hot price)
      2. find the store with highest reviews imo - iirc there is 3-4 decent sellers of sd, there is also 1 mob in perth that does it for a premium
      3. yes its heavy, and size wise i personally dont recommend for skinny wrists (but if you wanna more power to u)
      4. sd1977 is believe is a better for slightly smaller wrists. and different movement iirc
      5. no

        Thanks Big Tuna.

      1. Is this watch heavy? Would it bother you wearing it all day if you had skinny arms?

Technically I can't answer as I've only got the rubber strap version (although I do have a sub 6.5in wrist), but going by a weight of it on the bracelet I found on the interwebs, I've got another diver's watch that's heavier and it's never bothered me.

Yes, it is a large watch, but it does wear okay.

      1. I have skinny wrists and still fits well but yes it's a little more bulky. No issues wearing it all day as a daily for me, it's not very heavy wear it tires your arm or anything.
    • Is this watch heavy? Would it bother you wearing it all day if you had skinny arms?

Mine with steel bracelet was 192g standard. After removing some links for my 6.75" wrist, down to 171g.
Silicone band from eBay with included clasp: 122g
Same but with nicer milled SD clasp: 128g

Despite saving 64 grams it's still my heaviest watch (I have about 20 total). You could buy two, go power-walking and lose the skinny arms?

  • +1

Mine arrived - it's certainly a heavy watch but I guess that makes it more expensive than it actually is imo. I prefer watches on the heavier side.

After removing the maximum number of links and moving the clasp to the tightest setting, thankfully I got a good fit. Happy with the watch, lume is great. Great value! The green looks great

    • Wearing mine now, can't even notice it.

      • +1

Yep I don't mind the weight at all, I've got a Tag Carrera which is about ~180+ grams so I'm used to it. If only all the awesome lume watches were this cheap. I'd love a Borealis or Signum Cuda but not for those prices….

        • I think you commented on the wrong post anyway haha.

          • @WatchNerd: Going to consider the Kanagawa in blue now - glow looks great
