[VIC] LG 65" CS 4K OLED TV OLED65CSPSA $1999 + Delivery @ Stan Cash

1380

I'm pretty sure this is the cheapest I've seen for this LG 65" CS 4K OLED TV.

I just price matched at JB Hi-fi today and they allowed it even though I hadn't heard of Stan Cash before.

I understand the CS to be the C1 panel with the C2 processor. C3 is out so it's not the newest, but still a pretty decent price! I was keeping an eye out for the 55" C2 but that's around $2200 right now so this felt like the better compromise.

Note: I also paid $59 for delivery but I believe pickup is available.

Is the c's still current model? Or is it discontinued?

    • +3

I think the CS is on the way out, yeah. The C2 is newer (better panel but same processor) and the C3 is the brand new model. But I think a 2021 (or 22?) model should still hold up.

    • the cs is new model the cx was old one
i got one 4 weeks ago. its amazing
gaming everyday 4k hdr no issues with pc

      • +7

CS is halfway between a C1 and a C2, doesn't share components with a CX is my understanding.
It has the panel from a C1 and the processor from the C2 generation.

        • And where does the cx sit?

          • @evasive: Below the C1, I believe.

            CX > C1 (CS has C2 brains, C1 panel) > C2 > C3

            • +1

@Gregors510: If the CS has the processor of a C2 which is better than a C1's processor and the panel of a C1, doesnt it make a CS better than a C1?

              • @KaTst3R: Yes I suppose it would. He said CS is just C1 with improved processor

                • @evasive: Ok, i misread the comment. Gregors510 put CX below the C1, not CS. So the CS should sit between C1 and C2. LG has too many models at this stage..

              • @KaTst3R: Yep, that’s was I was trying to convey but didn’t do a great job haha. I have a 77” CS and I love it. It’s in a bright room so sometimes I wish it was brighter (I don’t turn up the brightness tho, not sure if there’s scope there), but I just shut the blinds. I’d rather the extra screen over extra brightness.

          • +3

            @evasive: 2019: C9
            2020: CX
            2021: C1
            2022: CS
            2022: C2
            2023: C3

Worst at top, best at bottom

            • +1

@eccaz: I still have a B7 so 2017 best TV picture I have ever seen. Can’t go wrong in my opinion with LG OLED

              • @ern123: Yeah by worst I simply mean that each new model is a slight improvement on the previous, but they’re all fantastic.

anyone bought from stancash before? keen to pull the trigger for my new office/gaming room and hook it up to the ps5

    • +5

Same owner as Betta Electrical so safe and reputable.

      • Did you have to go in store to price match? I'm currently away for a few weeks in the UK and I'm wondering if it's better I send them an email asking for the price match or have a friend go in store and ask them. If you physically went to the store, you have any advice on requesting the price match, or is stancash a part of accepted price match stores?

Thing is stancash only deliver to melbourne and I'm in sydney so jbhifi might not accept

        • +2

JB 100% only match Stan Cash in Vic only. Have tried previously here in SA twice online and once via phone and got the same exact response word for word all three times, as if it's scripted.

          • @BradH13: Dammit! Murphy's law. Thanks for letting me know to not waste any of my friends time going in to the store

          • @BradH13: Why vic only?

          • +1

@BradH13: I believed you but thought "hey no harm in trying" and submitted a price match query at jbhifi online and to my absolute shock they agreed! Have just purchased it and my sister will be picking it up tomorrow for me. I think it all comes down to luck and the manager at the particular store that you're trying to buy at (I'm from western sydney)

            • @sleeperc3ll: Oh cool! I'm happy for you. Sorry for being a downer! Just in my experience, it was a solid no go but that was a while ago.

Enjoy the TV. OLED is fantastic.

    • I bought a coffee machine from them a year or two ago, got it delivered in regional Vic. I was a little skeptical because the website looks like its come from the early 2000's but didn't have a drama.

      • That's because Stan Cash has been around quite a while but they're only very small… I thought they'd completely closed down but a few new stores have opened up over the past few years in my part of Victoria

  • +3

Don't think I could trust a site that looks like it was built with GeoCities in this day and age.

    • +1

Agreed haha. If I was in the area I'd check out the store, but otherwise I recommend using it to price match at JB or similar :)

Honestly Stan Cash are the best. I just moved house and got my TV, Washing Machine and Fridge from them. Lady was very lovely and happily price matched everything.

I went to the Keilor Park store, doesn’t blow your socks off with the showroom/fit out but honestly who cares. Let’s them be very aggressive on price.

If it weren’t for my dad pushing me to Stan Cash I would’ve spent probably an extra $400-700 at
    JB/Good Guys etc.

    • +3

I should add, everything is all brand new authentic. I got an LG TV, LG Fridge, and FisherPykel Washing Machine.

      • checks your washing machine

Nup sorry. This is a FysherPikel brand.

    • Wow Stan Cash. I remember going with mum and dad to the stores when I was a little kid in the 80s! Your dad probably knew of their (good) reputation!
      Glad the pricing is sharp.

Stan Cash, the tin shed cowboy.

Stan Cash was the Hardly Normal of the 80s in Vic…stores everywhere, but they are very good for their pricing and service since relaunching several years back.

    • stores everywhere

If you lived in selected suburbs of Melbourne only.

      Who asked?

        • +1

          Enjoy the deserved downvotes.

The differences between the C2 and C3 are marginal at best and certainly not worth paying a premium for.

  • $2089 at Billy Guyatts delivery to Vic only too -> https://www.billyguyatts.com.au/lg-65-4k-oled-tv-oled65cspsa…

    • +1

damn why are both these deals vic only :(

    • +3

I'm pretty sure these are the same company. I found the billy guyatts deal first but because it's online only I wouldn't have been able to get JB to price match. Luckily I found the Stan Cash deal, which was cheaper and had the brick and mortar store.

      • Yes, same company.
Both were huge back in the day.

  • Great TV for a great price.

  • +1

Got my fridge from them a few months back best price out of all of them

  • +1

looks like Vic only, but since we paid $3K six months ago for a 65" SONY OLED with apparently the same panel as the C1 which seemed the most popular model back then

I'd say $2K for the same panel and a newer processor looks like a deal -

lucky Vic - if Stan is the real deal … ;-)

    • Stan Cash is definitely the Real Deal… Store in Keilor about 20 mins away from me

  • Bought the 65" CS back in january for $2,300 at Bing Lee when they had a voucher deal thingy
great price then, Great TV set…

  • +1

Grabbed the last one in Brooklyn just FYI

    • Is it still a time warp back to 1990s n the store? 🤠
      Great buy, enjoy the TV!

      • More of just a discount HN type looking store.

        Very friendly service though!

  • All i got from JB for price matching was this…..

    Hi,

That is very cheap so I won’t be able to go down to exactly that price.

I can do it at $2099 – delivery is around $59 to get it to your house as well

    So much for price matching

    • That's a BS response from them. I got the $1999 through online chat

      • I know!!
I will just try another store

  • Tried to get it price matched on jb live chat: "Unfortunately we are unable to match this as it can only be delivered to Melbourne from stancash"
    Damn it

  • Would have been very tempted if I had not already ordered the 65" TCL C835. And then again that is much cheaper.

    • +2

Don’t get the TCL if you enjoy watching sport/motion.

      • +2

Agree. Hisense also have terrible motion handling.

  • Very average peak brightness.
Not great for daytime viewing in a bright environment.
    Otherwise an excellent buy.

  • It seems they only deliver to Melbourne, country VIC is a no-go. And it's just gone up to $2,089.

    • Is that including delivery? Still showing $1999 for me.

  • Does the lgcs dsupport 120hz bfi like the c1?
