Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3050 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card $299 Delivered + Surcharge @ Centre Com

138

Perhaps too little too late, though I thought I'd post in the off chance it's of value to someone. Shouldn't be too far from an all-time low, particularly when you factor in it's a decent custom model.

Surcharges: 1.2% Card & PayPal, 2% AmEx. Free shipping excludes WA & NT.

30% slower in raster compared to an RX 6600, which has been this price on numerous occasions, sometimes slightly cheaper (albeit for more generic models.) Some will pay the NVIDIA tax though.

Ummm GTX 1070 performance for $300 lol. Only on ozbargain

For reference my 6600xt was $350 for 1080ti speed. Bought it a year ago. Been heaps of similar deals since.

I concur. I bought a 6700 (non-xt) for $380 not long ago and I personally found it to be a good price/performance ratio. The XT was $100 more without a proportional performance increase.
Many won't like it but I upgraded from a 1030 and not worried about ray-tracing.

6700 no brainer at that price. 3050 at 299 in 2023 bottom of the list imo

      • +1

I got 6650xt for $340 new msy, I would have spent the extra to get the 6700. Sorry OP this 3050 is not a deal.

  • +5

RX 6600 is ~30% faster and sells for the same price. Even RTX 2060 is ~15% faster and can be had for less than 200 secondhand. Crazy buy

    • +2

Also, secondhand GTX1660Ti from 4 years ago gives a similar (no DLSSS or RT) experience for $100-150 range.

This is pretty terrible price/performance imo.

    Good try Todd

      Sometimes it doesn't just work.

as mentioned above, team red absolutely trashes 3050 in the price segment

if you crave team green, 3050 is still too weak, get a 3060 12gb at least (quick google search turns up $459, $469). getting 3050 retail now is like shooting yourself in the foot

Going below the xx60 in the nvidia releases is simply not worth it, never has been.

  • +3

This nvidia release is pretty poor value.

Pretty sure negging because you think it’s poor value compared to other cards doesn’t align with the voting guidelines. Fair enough if it’s not the cheapest of this particular item or if there’s an actual issue with the card.

    • +2

      Appropriate uses of negative vote
      Cheaper price elsewhere
Ideally, mention store, URL and price include shipping (if applicable).
      Issue with product (For example:)
It does not work the way it should
      It has been recalled
      Issue with retailer (For example:)
Previous purchases were not received or the shipping time exceeded what was expected. Example 1 Example 2
Issues arose which were not rectified in a satisfactory or timely manner.

you're completely right, and the mods used to enforce this strictly a few years ago. but it looks like they've shifted more towards the reddit approach.

  • Isn't 6600 cheaper not long ago?

  • +1

People here thinking graphics cards are only for games. This thing has CUDA cores so has added value over AMD if you need them

    • +1

For AI/ML purposes a second hand 3060 with 12GB of memory is a much better buy, I got one in near new condition for about the same price as this.
The extra memory lets you run bigger SD or LLM models.

  • Avoid this retailer…

  • The 1050Ti was such a mad beast of a card. It's so disappointing the 3050 was always priced at about double what it should have been so nobody got to try this one out without being completely gouged.

  • +1

Why is this e-waste GPU 2.8 slots wide? There are 2 slot air cooled RTX 3080 Ti's, RTX 4070 Ti's out there that run well

  • +1

    Bad value card

  • Bad value

    Bad value

  • NO deal - this is the kind of graphics card that they should be paying you to have!
