The Macpac site does not always display the correct stock levels across all stores.
If the size you are after is not on the web site, your local Macpac store can check stock at all stores and order it in for you if available. I have recently done this for several out of stock clearance items.

Are these as good as the equivalent north face ?
Comparable quality to kathmandu(Probably slightly better than kathmandu). Not yet used north face, so can’t comment on that.
I recently brought two jackets for me and my partner.
Honestly so nice, been wearing them all the time.
Hard to justify MacPac downjackets even for the discount price when Kathmandu also has a winter sale tbh - I'd pay slightly more for the more reliable quality.
I think that Kathmandu has gone downhill over the last 5 years. These days I find Macpac better quality.

Macpac used to be awesome stuff (like 15 years ago) but sold out. Now owned by same owners as kathmandu so not much of a difference these days. I prefer Macpac overall. Kathmandu is more for the urban warrior but much of a muchness

Kathmandu down jackets have gone down in standard in recent years (particularly with the departure of their premium XT range) and you will not find one with a fill rating exceeding 600 loft.
Macpac down jackets on the other hand generally start at 600 loft and go up to 800 loft on their Alpine series (the higher the loft, the warmer the jacket all other things being equal).
Gone down hill? They were so so 20 years ago…
You cant possibly compare Macpac to the terrible quality of Kathmandu

I did, got a couple of things, but annoyingly couldn't get both of them delivered and stock was only available at 2 different macpac stores. Fortunately one is close to my home and the other close to work so did 2 different C&C, lol. The lengths I'll go to to stay warm this winter…

Picked up the Kuhl impact jacket (medium) for $104, it sounds like pretty good value I love my windproof jackets (without them damned hoodies).
