I have activated (in late 2022) with $80 credit after sitting in my drawer for two years. YMMV
looks like the boost customer is no longer considered a Telstra user, I'm getting an error "As you do not currently have an active service with Telstra, you will be unable to redeem in Telstra Plus. An active Telstra service is required to reinstate eligibility to redeem. Active services can be created via telstra.com.au."

Same here. Have enough points for 2 x $10 Amazon gift cards, but can't use them. Might need to buy a Telstra Sim for $10 but feels like to much effort for a total gain of $10

These always seem to be fairly popular deals on here - legit question can someone explain what I'm missing out on? Got a lot of points burning a hole still so trying to figure out what to buy
When you first switch over you get a $20 referral credit plus the $80 that comes with the sim - this covers 5ish months of plan costs.
If you get a few more sims and turn them into data sims, you can gift that data to your mobile plan, and then be walking around with a couple terabytes of data and never have to worry about running out of data again.
