  • Can we have option for atx mb?

    • +1

      ATX option added!

  • +3

Techfast has 5600/12400f with RTX 4070 at similar price:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/techfast.com.au

    • +12

That deal costs more and although you a better GPU, they skimp out on all the other parts:

      • Allied branded h610 motherboard VS TUF B660M-E (We have more DIMM Slots, More M.2 slots, We have gen 4 vs Gen 3, the list goes on) We wouldn't touch the h610 series. But that's because we are a premium builder
      • They usually use Cl22 our ram is Cl16
      • You can't expand your Memory in future without replacing both sticks of ram they provide, on our board you can add 2 more dimms and keep the ones that come with the PC
      • We have additional 1TB Premium HDD storage
      • You don't know what PSU they are going to give you (probably allied branded)
      • We have proper support (Call us, send us an email or a live chat), we treat every customer with respect and try our best to get your issues sorted as best as we can.
      • We actually dispatch fast and provide clear dispatch times
      • our cable management and build quality is better
      • Our deal also includes a free 500GB external SSD + Anti Sag GPU stand + a free copy of Call of duty: MW2

Another thing to note is the 12400F is a bottleneck for the RTX 4070 - so even though you get a better GPU, you might not get significantly better FPS as you will be CPU limited in that deal.

Our deal is significantly higher quality and much better rounded and in our eyes, way better value.

      • +1

Nice and quick reply if only I had $1,400 😔
        But would still prefer 4070

        • There is an upgrade option to the 4070 in our builder 😊

      • +1

Your points make sense to some extent. But 4070 is a big jump from 3070 even considering the bottleneck. It will not be that significant under 1440p or 4k.

Allied branded h610 motherboard VS TUF B660M-E - You can upgrade to B660M in Techfast as well.

They usually use Cl22 our ram is Cl16 - Upgrading yourself is not hard.

We have additional 1TB Premium HDD storage - We all know hard drive is very cheap now.

PSU and customer support - Agree on you but this really depends on what the customer is focusing on.

Free 500GB external SSD + Anti Sag GPU stand + a free copy of Call of duty: MW2: Not useful to every customer and it is not free actually, it is just bundled in the total price.

Another point is you can have other options under $700 if searching on Google.

I would rather get a RTX 4070 for $100 more from Shopping Express: https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/msi-geforce-rtx-4070-…

        • +1

Also 4070 get Diablo IV which is a newer game.

        • +6
          • With regards to the bottleneck, we disagree, there is a big bottleneck at 1080P and 1440P, at 4k it is indeed less, but this is not a 4K build, its a high end 1080P and a low/mid range 1440P, so it would be reasonable to compare it accordingly.
          • For the motherboard upgrade, of course you can upgrade it, but then there deal gets even more expensive (confident our motherboard is still better than their upgrade, not all B660's are made equal)
          • for the ram, sure you can upgrade it yourself, but then it once again, becomes even more expensive and is another thing you have to do instead of just being able to get your PC, turn it on and enjoy playing games.
          • for the HDD, yes they are cheaper now, but we still have it on our deal and they don't
          • for the PSU, We don't believe in playing games when it comes to PSUs, if it goes wrong, it can take out your whole PC
          • For support, there are techfast horror stories on here that only got rectified once it became public and pressure was added. This is not the case with us. But we acknowledge different people have different risk tolerances and thus value this differently.
          • the freebies are actually not bundled into the price, they are actually free, if they were bundled into the price, we would've just given you a discount instead.
      • I bought a build for my father last year they were using the PSU's notorious for catching fire. I wasn't very happy to say the least.

      • $1,639.00 to upgrade to 4070 is quite expensive vs $1348 = $291

would be good if we can remove the bonuses (which not everyone wants or needs)
and get a lower the price which likely was added into the final price anyway

        -1TB Premium HDD storage
-500GB external SSD + Anti Sag GPU stand + a free copy of Call of duty: MW2

        • As mentioned above, the freebies are actually free, they were not added to the price - if they were added to the price, we would've just given you a discount. If you don't want them let us know in your order comments and we won't send them, but it won't reduce your price

          • @enigmapc: if that is the case then your pc price is quite expensive

These bonuses aren't going to do anything to improve gaming performance.
            -1TB Premium HDD storage
-500GB external SSD + Anti Sag GPU stand + a free copy of Call of duty: MW2

4070 is still a generation above the 3070
and has better Ray tracing and DLSS performance for people who want to this..

Assuming that you can get 4070 for close to the same price as the other seller..
Then you are actually charging an extra $291 for those other parts in your build

            OR

Where are you buying 4070 from that is costing an extra $290 (when we change 3070 to 4070 in your pc build website) ?

      Regarding TF's i5-12400 4070 system…

      Case: MUST install 2 INtake fans, only 'Included Fan(s) 1 x 120mm fan in rear' & NO-rgb, TF link referencing Antec-> https://www.antec.com/product/case/nx200m

Mobo: likely or something in the price of Asrock H610M-HDV. Prudent to monitor the VRM & PCH temp. via HWinfo64, especially when pushing system hard &/or summer's high room-temp.

PSU: likely a branded product or something in the price of Gigabyte P650B 650W 80+ Bronze.
      https://www.custompc.com/wp-content/sites/custompc/2023/04/N…

Run factory default setting & NO power-limit removal: high-risk of Mobo &/or PSU failure.

As a guide to system ultilisation: can scroll to the bottom & chose your games-> https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1dv1fl/2g…
      Interesting comparison with a stronger CPU-> https://www.gpucheck.com/en-usd/compare/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4…

On a tight budget: is gaming @ 1440P necessary ?

Pls do your own research & happy gaming.

    • i second this this is heaps better deal. plus they have better costumer sevice.
      thanks benny!

    Hi @enigmapc
just to let you know on your webpage it shows RTX 3070 12GB.
I'm pretty sure they only come in 8GB.

    • +1

good catch! We have updated this

  • The OzB post also shows 12GB

    • updated, thanks!

  • Do you offer any matx or mitx builds? Thanks.

    • +1

We do! You can select a MATX case in our builder if you are after a PC with a smaller footprint

      • Yes I see it, awesome thanks

  • Hi enigma, of I update the GPU to 4070 am I eligible for the free Diablo 4? Thanks

    • PNY is not currently running the diablo promo, but they have mentioned they will run it in June - if they backdate purchases and allow it, then we will provide the code, our current understanding is they will backdate it

  • lol @ 1TB HDD for $109… I bought one of those Black drives back in 2010 for the same price. Noisy as hell, got rid of it a few years later and replaced with a Green.

    • +1

Can't comment on the drive you bought in 2010 - but the WD black models we have are just server grade WD drives reskinned - they don't run noisy at all for a HDD and provide as good of performance as you are going to get on a HDD. They also come with a 5 year warranty - super solid drives

  • +1

Looks like a good deal, probably would've bought this if it existed a week ago (I got tired of waiting for a decent 13th gen deal, and built one myself). The upgrade price for the 13600KF is also very good.

It'd be nice to have an option to remove some of the included extras (particularly the HDD and external SSD), even if the discount is well below their market prices. For a lot of people (myself included) they'd essentially just be e-waste.

I also noticed that the configurator doesn't give a warning when selecting "intel stock cooler" and a CPU without a stock cooler

    • do you have part lists for your pc you built?
      and list the parts cost

where did you get your parts from?

      • My build was focused on productivity not gaming (so it probably won't be very useful to most OzBargainers), but here it is:
Parts bought from MSY (that's the only decent place near me that has a store, so I can save some delivery cost):
        - i5 13600KF, $449.
        - Asus B760M mobo, $227.
        - AP201 case, $111.
        - Gigabyte 750W gold PSU, $117.
        - G.Skill 32GB 3600MHz memory, $108. Probably would've upgraded to this if I saw it earlier, but the difference is negligible.
        - Kingston KC3000 2TB SSD, $196.

And a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE White from Amazon, $59.90.

I haven't bought a new GPU because I'm sticking with my old 1060 6GB for a bit longer, and I don't really do anything GPU-intensive these days. I'll probably buy something along the lines of a 3070 or 6700XT in six months or so. I'm also re-using some SATA SSDs from my previous PC (1TB + 500GB).

Total price (with no GPU) was $1268, so slightly above the prices of most of these OzBargain pre-builts once you add a GPU, but I get a little more flexibility with part choices.

    • +1

Thanks for the positive comments! With regards to the freebies, they are truly free, if they were not, we would have just given a discount, happy to remove them off anyones order (just mention it in the order notes) but it won't reduce your price

    • Edit: I now see that the 13600KF upgrade price has been increased significantly (or maybe I misread it before), so I take back that comment. $259 is more than the difference in market price ($200), so not unreasonable but also not very good.

  • +1

I was keen on this but wanted to upgrade the GPU to a 4070 but now it appears to be out of stock. Any chance you'll be getting more 4070s in stock for this deal?

  • -1

I dunno if this is too "insider information" for any vendors to speak about, but why is it that system integrators almost always use Nvidia cards? Are the bulk discounts better? Do they offer better incentives than AMD?

  • Is there an upgrade path to a 4070 available on this deal? Customiser has it at $290 but showing out of stock. Thanks!

    • +1

I have added a different 4070 for you, but the price is higher (we were unable to secure better pricing on this one)
