I've found this milk jug to be really helpful in getting consistently well steamed milk for latte art. The temperature sensor on the side allows you to end steaming at exactly the right time (typically 65 degrees), no batteries needed.

Fits enough milk for a 350-380ml cup, with a 36-44ml espresso shot.

For anyone wanting to work on their latte art skills, I'd recommend checking out Lance Hedrick's and Emilee Bryant's milk steaming and latte art tutorials, they're both former latte art world champions and go into a lot more detail than some of the other tutorials I've seen.

I've been using three for years without any issues, you could reach out to Breville - their Australian customer care team is usually pretty solid.

no offence, but the australian customer care team is totally useless. they either flat out dont reply, or purposely avoid direct questions about warranty. Also chasing a redemption on the barrista impress which never arrived. Zero Help.

    • No offence taken, sorry you've had that experience!

    • Apart from the jug being a pos, any reviews on the Impress? I’m looking at it myself as I use almond more than full cream.

I've found it the opposite! I lodged a claim but ended up having JB replace the unit anyway. They called to see if there was any follow up required and checked in how it was. Also I recieved the 'bonus' gift packs in good time. Bummer for you that wasn't the case! Maybe try again?

      • the impress is fine, no issues, just no redemption bonus. My last reply to them was April 21 - 2023. No answer. have sent 2 follow up's since.

Have you called them? Their call centre is based in Australia, and are very knowledgeable and helpful in my experience.

  • i upgraded to the impress from the barrista pro which served me well throughout Covid. I'm 3-4 months in so far and its doing a pretty good job. I'm quite lazy so i really enjoy how it automatically dials in new beans. The result, it makes a much better cup with much less effort than the barrista pro. Downside, the consumables (the filter) seems to be much more pricier than the barrista pro to replace.

  • Thanks for the suggestion of Lance Hedrick's channel, I've subscribed he seems good.

Deepest dives into coffee on Youtube, enjoy!

  • I have this jug but it’s too big for me when make one cup of cappuccino, also 1 small complain to this jug is it doesn’t give you the volume measurement inside the jug, my other jug has it and this give me precise amount of milk consistently

So at the end I get this temperature sticker to a smaller jug and it’s has been pretty good

I will still use the Breville jug when I need to make 2 cups of coffee at the same time though
