Came across then when doing laptop research, solid deal. Bought one at $999, checking Honey (https://www.joinhoney.com/shop/amazon-au/p/14383961556549245…) it was $1399.00 on June 6, so overnight it's come down.

Great price for the display, and great for productivity, office, school or even light gaming.
Being sold by Amazon, so great customer support too.

Also comes with Windows Hello.

    Good deal

    11th gen = pass

    • Yeah, it's only 4 cores. It's slightly weak.

  • -2

    That CPU is weak asf

    • +1

Weak when compared to a $2k gaming laptop? Or weak when compared to a $600 i3 web browsing laptop?

    • +2

12th gen laptops… have 12 physical cores, compared to 11320H which has 4?

      • Saw some Geekbench 5 benchmarks and my i7 8th Gen in my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 gapped it. Is it still workable for many productivity apps open at once?

  • +2

Gen 12 or later CPU would have made a good deal. The above model with Gen 11 has only 4 core processor.

  • +1

Personally, wouldn't buy a lenovo again. As much as they are a good laptop, I've had two separate Lenovo's have WiFi cards fail. Once was fixed first time, the 2nd one has to go back again because it hasn't been fixed.

    • would agree sent one back today just inside 12mths warranty, it's giving the owner electric shocks when plugged in which is also making it crash and do all kinds of things, the plastic case is very fragile, thankfully full refund

  • +1

Thought it would be lighter than 2.4kg being a 'slim' laptop

    • +11

      It identifies as slim.

      • -6

        lame

    • I was looking at that too - could they possibly be talking about charger as well?

Looking at specs - am I looking at the right model? https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/laptops/yoga/yoga-slim-series…

      Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14IHU5
      - Mylar version: starting at 1.3 kg
      - Glass version: starting at 1.38 kg
      - Yoga Slim 7 Pro 14IHU5 O - Starting at 1.38 kg OLED version

If it is the right link whats the difference between Mylar and Glass?

    • Review I read puts it at 1.39kg

      • Probably accurate because my Ideapad Flex 5 is about the same.

    • That’s the whole package, box and all.

At this price, might as well go for a Macbook Air, no?

Pros: Battery life, no fan, consistent high performing M1 chipset, weight, typical Apple build quality.

    Cons: Mac OS.

Also, this Lenovo is a heavyweight.

    • +1

8GB RAM, hard to game (even casually), fewer porta than this laptop as well.

      • You are joking, right? Gaming on this Lenovo or even a Mac!?

        • I mean we used to play Subway Surfers on the iPhone 5 too and it classified as a 'game'. Probably is able to run Fortnite on 60fps at medium settings.

    • 1.3kg isn’t a heavyweight.

And also Con, price of the Air, I don’t seem to see any new ones for this price.

But not sure how good a deal this one is using 11th gen cpu.

      • 2.4kg according to an earlier comment… If that's true, then i'd consider this heavy.

And yeah, the price of an Air is like $1300, but there was that deal before at $1100, so very comparable to this deal.

        (Why the downvote?)

        • I didnt vote.
I thought the air is around $1500? Son has a Pro but macOS just isnt for me, too many years on dos and windows for my brain to change.

2.4 is heavy but thats not what the laptop weighs. Amazon must have the whole package listed.

  • That weight must be an error, surely

    • Maybe it's a combination of the laptop weight and the 95W charger? 95W charger probably a bit heavy.

    • It the package weight… , box, papers, charger etc

  • I’m on the hunt for a eofy deal on Lenovo or Dell (have access to edu email). Looking to spend up to 1300 but would like memory not soldered if anyone has seen anything good. Not doing anything heavy duty with it but would like something half decent for longevity. Thanks!

    • Looking for something similar too. Let me know if you find anything please.

    • +2

Not lenovo or dell, but may meet your other requirements.

      • 250nits screen is a real downer

      • Good find, Hows the battery life?

        • +1

Good, it could get you through the day with average consumption. Don't expect anything like an M1 MBA/MBP or M2 MBA/MBP though. They have power-efficient chipsets.
