  Fyi I paid $30.42 for 4x2 eneloops AAA pros in July 2022 from the last ozbargain deal. The posted price is very good and I don't think you'll beat it any time soon. I much prefer my white 800mah eneloops over my 950mah pros for daily drivers like tv remotes.

  I've got around 20 assorted eneloops AA/AAA variants and recently added on with IKEA 750mah Laddas for $8 AAA which are rebranded white eneloops. The LADDA might be an option if you are buying multiple packs, pretty sure it's $5 fixed post as well. I did pick up 5 assorted packs AA/AAA in store to save $5 postage and used $9 fuel and ate $8 worth of hotdogs.

    I haven't used a D in a torch since scouts in 1992. Get a convey C8 torch with rechargeable panasonic 18650 battery. Good setup.

    You could try the spacers, and just use AA instead…
    Rocking a couple those in kids toys and have more than paid for themselves.

  Other than eneloop AA/AAA batteries, does anyone know where I can get 18650 batteries? It used to be eBay, which had a plethora of sellers offering them… But it doesn't appear to be the case anymore.

    I just bought a load of clone LG HG2 cells from Liitokala on Ali, around $3.50 each shipped.
    Not very knowledgeable but capacity checks out and quality seems high. Shipping was very slow however.
