  • Woah huge discount down from the last deal?

  • Thank you it worked. Have been wanting to get this for a while.

  • What is the difference between the Pro plan and a lifetime license?

With both the Pro plan and a lifetime license, you get access to the Luminar Neo photo editor app. With the Pro plan, you also get:

    • Immediate access to all existing pro-level Extensions and future access to any new Extensions as soon as they are released. Extensions include AI-based tools for sharpening, upscaling, noise reduction, focus stacking, merging HDR images, background removal, and light manipulation.)
    • All major platform updates in addition to performance and functionality improvements. You will always have the latest software version, even if an entirely new Luminar version is released.
    • The possibility to use Luminar Neo on two devices instead of one
    • A 10% discount on Marketplace items (Skies, Presets, LUTs, Overlays. etc.)
    • As I understand, the Pro is yearly payments, the Lifetime is a one-time payment.

      • Yes but from my quick skim read, lifetime doesn't include any upgrades. Seems to be lifetime use….on the version you download.

I haven't looked carefully though so I could be wrong.

        • That's correct. Usually the idea of the subscription model is that they'll let you use the current version and all subsequent updates for the version you bought. For example, if you buy version 13 then you'll get all updates for version 13, like 13.1, 13.2, etc.

The subscription model is the hook so that you can get all the future versions, like 14, 15, etc. but it requires you to pay yearly.

There's pros and cons on both - the only worrying thing really is with such a significant discount it is (highly) likely they are about to release a new major version, and hence buying this today may not give you access to future features.

          • @b-t: yep so in this case, I believe the lifetime subscription is the most basic offering, with the benefit that you can use it as long as you want.

  • I want Lightroom Classic. Is this comparable? Can it manage a catalog?

    • +1

Doesn't compare to LR Classic, ie. is worse in terms of UI, UX, workflow, unfortunately.

Perhaps if someone started with this software, they'd have different opinion.

LR Classic is the Mario Kart of photo software.

    • Imo not only much inferior to LR classic, but also one of the worst LR/PS alternatives for photographers. But if 'creative' is the focus, such as sky replacement etc, it might be easier. If you just want to apply subtle and natural fixes to already half-decent photos rather than radically changing the photo, better stay away.

  • is this even a deal? lifetime license nkthing in it lol

  • I am paying $4 For Adobe photographer package from this deal. I think I will need another 100 up votes to convince me to spend the money.

    • This seems like a great price for Lightroom Classic and Photoshop!

Is this my life time or their life time? And if the site shuts down, does that mean the product is end of life?
