  • I bought one of these when they first came out but ended up returning it under their fairly excellent (imo) returns policy.

I found it was too big, and didn’t sound good enough to justify the size and price. I think I would be happier with a stereo pair of 100’s

    • in a pair (a mate has 2) they are really extremely good with a well mastered spatial album (i.e. honky chataeu). honestly i think they give my kef r3's a run at less than half the price.

of course ymmv, everyone thinks different with sound

    • Did you run the Trueplay Room Calibration on the Sonos App?

      • +1

Was surprised how big a difference that made with my Sonos Arc

  • Is this deal only for the 300s? I want a pair of 100s but can't justify the price.

    • +1

yep the 100's are there as well, i think it end up being about 320 each. Search for them under the same seller, same code.

  • Aww no white ones :(

    • Yeah damn, I need them in white too.

  • This is a great price…and I need to stop buying Sonos gear.

  • I have a play 5. Do want (not need) a new 300, but already have a 5….

  • Now we just need to find a discount for the stands

  • They have the Era 100's for $417.90 when Sonos sell them for $399 from their website?

  • Has anyone used these as surrounds for the arc system with sub? If so, would it be worth the upgrade over Sonos ones?

    • I don't have them but I've read a lot of reviews while trying to figure out if I should upgrade.

From what I can gather the general consensus is if you watch Atmos movies and listen to Atmos music it's worth it.

If you watch 5.1 sound movies you won't notice a difference.

One guy also said the Era 300's require positioning and are a little finicky sometimes when playing the atmos movies.

I've decided to stick to my One SL's for now as I need to buy stands too and I've only had my One SL's for 3 years. So it seems like a waste for just Atmos Movies (I don't listen to music on these)

Yes, I got a pair of Era 300s for my arc and sub system to replace my Ones.
It is definitely an upgrade with Atmos content. For non-Atmos I'm a little less sure it's an upgrade, more of a sideways step.
It also takes some time to get used to the fact the rears aren't directing sounds right at you, but bouncing sounds off the walls.
I'd say if you prioritize listening to Atmos content (and Apple Music Spatial Audio tracks) then grab them, otherwise, I don't think they justify the price.

  • Would love a perspective — should I go in for a Sonos setup incl. these ERA 300 or simply get a Samsung Q930C?

Use case is primarily TV watching, secondarily console gaming and a distant third, streaming music from. I use Siri, not Alexa/Google.

What I want to have is a simple setup of 2 rear and preferable 1 soundbar that projects a true immersive sound field incl. Atmos.

    • I have a samsung q950a. Samsung sound quality is good. But I couldnt feel the surround sound very much.
I'm slowly buying sonos one by one waiting for deals and try if it's any better.
