    hi as you may be expert on this, may i ask:
    for this kind of desktop charger with multiple ports:
    if i attached 4 cables to each port permanently (no devices connected on the other cable), will it affect the power distribution?
    for example if i have 4 cables on each port, then use one (only) of the usb c to charge laptop will it still give 100w ?

    and there is no harm with the above scenario, right? (having 4 cables plugged all the time, and we charge 1,2,3 devices now and then)

      Yes. Imagine a Water Tank with 4 Taps and 4 Hoses connected but closed at the end, If you open 1 hose - water will come from it with most pressure, other hoses won't effect the pressure just because they are connected.

        i asked because i have 2 desktop chargers like this, and both failed after couple months (not this brand). i was afraid its because i have all the ports plugged with cable 24/7 but probably just the dud brand/products (blitzwolf and aukey)

          I have this zyron deskpod and I leave 3 cables plugged in all the time - 1 x C, and 2 x A.

          I only use 1 x C because I need it to charge my laptop which requires 100W.

          Bought mine in Sept 2022 and been using it since.

    I have one so far it been good except this annoying issue. When you have one phone charging and connect another one it will disconnect and reconnect the first one.

    Is this normal?

      i read that is normal, its call re-negotiating the power distribution.
      but the reconnect disconnect is automated, right? like just split second?

          then its one the smart feature, actually you do want it to behave like that.

          my issue — brand is blitzwolf — is different. when i connect my samsung phone it will make a ding sound (ie connected) then couple sec ding (disconn) then ding connect then disconn again like that go on and on not charging at all… drive me crazy.

      Every single USB PD charger (numerous brands) I have ever used does that, as mentioned, to re-negotiate the distribution.

        As far as I'm aware, the only charger that doesn't disconnect and reconnect (fixed distribution negotiation) is Anker GanPrime Chargers with PowerIQ 4.0 which has dynamic adjustments.

      Between the blitzwolf, heymix, and zyron, I am a fan of zyron and have found their products to be best.
      Having said that, others on OzBargain, including on this deal have had product failures with zyron too.
