Lowest price I've seen this 3way centre speaker, currently US$399 in the States. Getting some decent reviews.
They're not Ultras, but for this price a pretty good deal.

Why is a 3 way centre so necessary? Human voice dialogue audio range which is what is typically carried on the centre is really small?
Ideally your front speakers should be matched (the same), its not just voice going through that centre speaker. Imagine something like a plane going from the left to the right on screen, and also its sounds following - having different speakers means its sound will change as it transitions from the left, to the centre and to the right speaker.
What NoCheap said, plus listening to music in various surround modes a fair bit can come from the centre. Agree, by no means essential though
It's beyond my ability to explain it, but generally 3-way centre speakers perform better than 2-way MTM centre speakers off-axis (away from the point directly in front of the speaker).

You can't, you need a DSP. Plus another amp to power this CC.

I have this plus the Elevations, although I still have the Elevations setup as bouncy house instead of actually elevating them. Still haven't got my cabling sorted to have them elevated.
As per many reviews you will find on YouTube, this is great for the price. This replaced a Paradigm Millenia 20 that was underperforming (couldn't get below 110Hz from memory), but decent for size. I have them hooked up to an Integra DRX3.4
The Prime Centre made a huge difference, finally some full range impact. I have them between two Paradigm Titans V6 and the timbre match is fine.I paid $629 for the Prime Centre, can't remember the deal I did on the Elevations, but they removed that price as a result of my purchase (Lifestyle Store sale)
