Google Pixel 6a $499 Delivered @ Google Store / $497 + Delivery ($0 to Metro/ C&C/ in-Store) @ Officeworks

670

Part of Google's EOFY deals. Obviously no $449 from this deal, but still pretty decent.
Thanks to @BigBoogs, Officeworks has it for $497 vs $499 from JB Hi-Fi and Google.

Available in Charcoal, Chalk, and Sage colour options.

Office works has it for $497. I assume this is so people can't price match.

JB Hi-fi also has it for $499 if you prefer them.

Precisely that. So if you can find another retailer selling for $496 then its game on with OW pricebeat.

Good price - I just returned my P7P because mine had a bad issue with the mobile data dropping out randomly.
Customer service didn't want to help at first - they acknowledged the problem (with bug report), but then said it was a known issue and they were looking to fix it in a future release.
They were not able to give any date for when a fix would be supplied (vapourware as far as I am concerned, just like the bad old microsoft days), so I had to escalate to a supervisor/manager in order to have any resolution.

edit: I think StudentBeans gives an extra 5% discount - wording states the following

Buy the Google Pixel 6a from only A$499 during our EOFY sale and get an extra 5% student discount at Google Store with Student Beans.

Use our Google Store student discount code at the checkout to enjoy an extra 5% off your order.

        Unidays, not student beans.

    • My Pixel 6 has the same mobile data issue too. Threads all over the internet with same issue.
People can't call me sometimes. Or literally the internet just drops out for 5mins. Such a joke.

They always give the same BS answer of "it'll be fixed in future update"

Won't be buying another Pixel because of it.

    • I had the same issue on my P7P except support didn't confirm it was a known issue but told me to wait for an update.
I asked them why I'm waiting for an update for an unconfirmed issue; had a whinge and got full refund

Must say, If you want a smallish phone that's got greats specs, this is it.
The Google official case does help save it, as I have dropped mine on concrete and saved the pain of repair, it does chonk it up a bit more though.

    Got mine for $$24

Mrs had the official case. The area that covers the lock and volume buttons warped after only a few months and she had to replace the case with something else.

Didn't take the case on and off often, it just happened from use. Sample size of 1, but buyer beware.

EDIT: Phone has been awesome, though. Just the case that was disappointing.

    • Would you say the volumes for ringtone & calling are sufficiently loud? My sister in law has a hearing impairment and wants a loud phone. The louder the better. Obviously a subjective thing, just hard to find information on the web about this. Thanks!

      • I have installed Zedge, downloaded metal gear solid codec for ringtone and it's hella loud, I don't go past halfway.
Also I have the sound of being found as the notification s and again it is loud for me.

This is subjective although I don't turn it up past halfway.

        • Thanks for replying!
