Just be careful suede doesn't have the traditional longevity their leather has. I would not call this a lifetime shoe. Whereas there leather may last you a long long time

What is this statement based on exactly? Suede is far far tougher and easier to maintain than most people think.
With proper conditioning (far less often than grain leather) and care suede/roughout will last a lifetime. They may not have nap left by the end of it but they'll still be intact.
You also have the option of waxing to create a different finish and additional durability.
Suede being a form of leather is naturally tough. The suede will appear worn-out easier than traditional grained leather and won't present as well over time. It will still hold itself well, just won't have a nice appearance
This is so wrong. I've got suede shows from many brands including RMs dating back 15 years or older. Looking after suede is not rocket science either.

It is leather and my intention was to say they will look far more worn out than traditional leather and don't age as well.
