[Refurb] Apple iPhone 8 64GB $199, SE 64GB $249, XR 64GB $319 + Delivery ($0 with $250 Order) @ Coles

230

Cheapest these Coles Boost refurbs usually are. For those who may want slightly newer refurb models, Green Gadgets via Coles Best Buys has the iPhone 11 64GB for $499 delivered and the iPhone 12 64GB for $649 delivered. The supplier is greengadgets and their eBay store works with SEOFY20. They don't seem to be too popular on here but it ends up being $67 cheaper for the 11 and $98 for the 12, for the same "excellent" condition, for those who want to take the risk.

Best buy catalogue ends 25th June, while the Coles deals end with the catalogue on the 20th.

The iPhone 8 is currently on iOS 16 and will not receive iOS 17. The SE and XR will receive it along with the 11 and 12.

iPhone 8 is a 2017 phone for $199. Recently iPhone SE 2020 version was for $199. You get 3 more years before the phone is sunset by apple.

Yes, the 8 is false economy

Glad my iPhone SE 2016 version (still running current version of IOS) doesn't know this !

You can pickup an iPhone 11 Used on ebay for another $20-30 really over the iphone XR, imo a better choice seeing as it would be a whole year newer and battery life wouldn't be as drained.

  • I’ve had a great experience buying two of the iPhone SE 2020 with new battery direct from Green Gadgets in the last six months. The new batteries seem to be oem as no battery health verification warning.

The discounted price on their eBay store for a 64gb with new battery in excellent condition is an amazing deal.

Finally my dream of entering the Apple closed ecosystem can become a reality.

  • How does this supplier compare with Reebelo?

There are other refurb suppliers as well so if anyone has experience to share it would help others make a decision.

I have an IPhone 8 at present as a second phone and have had 3 other iPhones including an XR and SE2020 which I gave to my kids but given a choice, it's android for me. The kids however, prefer apples and will be putting pressure on for newer phones before too long I expect.

Reebelo is just a marketplace for suppliers. Pretty sure I've seen green gadgets as a seller on reebelo. Just scroll down once you've selected your phone configuration and it shows the seller you're buying from on reebelo.

      • Ah. Gotcha. Thanks.

  • Stupid question: Are these the 2020 or 2022 version? How long's the support on them?

Just got an iPhone SE2 (2020) 64GB refurbished with 'new battery' at 'excellent' grade from the eBay store of Green Gadgets.
The listing has a 20% off code for EOFY to add at checkout. That bought it down to $223 and change.
The listing for 'excellent' with 'new battery' is here https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/175479886617
Do note that there are listings for 'excellent' but without a new battery. It seems by the comments from others that the Coles ones have used battery in them.
Got it as a second phone for my partner to use for app only banking providers and trading apps thus wanted some support life in it. Supposedly this SE 2020 version is supported to 2027 for Apple iOS updates.
I have not purchased a second hand phone before so fingers crossed it is ok and lives up to the claims in the advert of new battery and only 'minimal' signs of wear. (i realise it is not new). I guess i will see when it turns up!
Posting this in case it helps someone else.

    • I also got this one, with 'new battery' - it arrived with no charge at all, after first charge battery health is showing as 99%, is this normal?
