    3 Watch Storage Roll… $119.96

Cool I might get one for my 3 Skmei watches.

    • Haha. Think of it as prepaid insurance… though it’s cheaper to just replace the watches 😅

How have you found the SKMEI watches? Have heard only great things about them as a budget watch.

      • +2

They are great for fun beater watches. I might buy the Skmei 1988 black when my 1134 dies.

Do you have waffle straps that are cheaper than these quick release ones? I don't need quick release

I'm after one for my Steeldive SD1970. I will probably just buy one from here… US$9.28 + GST.

        • +1

Can't go wrong with a g-shock rep at a fraction of the price… I may need to grab one myself to scratch the itch.

As much as I'd like to offer you something - I've heard good things about those seller's straps so it would be very hard to beat them at that price with all our local overheads!

Sorry, but i’d give Strapify a miss.

From my last experience with them, the build quality of the bars used on Apple Watch bands was too undersized, causing the bands to wobble.

They also made me jump through unnecessary hoops to get a refund, and the email communications from them honestly gave me the vibe they were trying desperately to avoid their obligations under Consumer Law.

      Hi <Mod: Name redacted>.

Thanks for your comment however we feel your comment is a bit unfair.

We demonstrated to you by filming a side by side comparison that the wobble you experienced is exactly the same amount of wobble in the official Apple silicone strap hence why we deemed this as within spec.

In the video this was filmed with a brand new Apple silicone strap that was taken straight from the box.

Happy to share this to others interested in seeing this. Link is in the transcript below.

For transparency, I have included our correspondence and you shipped your strap back and we also offered you a refund as per our discussions.

I’m not sure why you think we had tried to skirt around ACL as approved a refund as soon as you insisted on one.

For completeness, I have provided our transcript for others to make their own assessment on whether we’ve tried to avoid our responsibilities under ACL (read from bottom to top).

Firstly, I can say with absolute certainty that, as someone who owns more Original Apple straps than I’d like to admit (including some Employee specials that weren’t publicly available), this issue does not exist in any of their bands - going back as far as the first Apple Watch release.

Second, I’m still wishing to return the band under Australian Consumer Law grounds - as it is something that, had I known about this, I would not have purchased it.

      Kind regards,

      Hi <Mod: Name redacted>.

I’ve had a look at your video and compared it to original Apple straps and our own.

This is a normal issue with original straps and aftermarket straps.

      See attached video.

Form submitted by <Mod: Name redacted>:

Please describe your query / issue.:
The bars that secure the watch to the case, have poor tolerances up to 1mm undersized, causing the bars to move around in the case. I am reasonably confident that these could overtime cause damage to the watch case, and that I consider this a major failure being not fit for the purpose described or purchased under Australian consumer law. I request a full refund of the purchase.

A video demonstrating the poor design tolerances can be accessed here:

    • Wow Winchester If don't like it, fine - but based on this transcript, stratify offered a thoughtful considered response - you're assessment of 'hoops' I don't understand. I'm embarassed fornyou. Could you please clarify?

      • This was effectively the full transcript.

We get a lot of customers who are new to watch straps so our first response is to always troubleshoot but some can take this the wrong way (understandably).

These are cheap and nasty, wouldn't recommend sorry

    • Hi Exprise.

Sorry you feel that way. Did you purchase from us? If so can you share your orders details in a PM?

      Happy to assist.

      Cheers
      Simon

  • Not sure about the Apple straps but I’ve bought leather deployment clasp straps from here before and had no issues.

  • Last order I made with strapify, they sent a product that was different to what was pictured and refused to refund. I had to submit a paypal dispute to get a refund. Never using them again.

    • Hi batteriesnotincluded.

Sorry to hear that was your experience. Can you PM your order details so I can investigate for you?

      Thanks
      Simon.

      • The mods already had to redact your reply to @thewinchester because you published his personal details, so …. no

        • Please PM us - we only addressed him by his first name (our mistake).

          • +1

@STRAPIFY Watch Strap: We already exchanged communications on this issue directly, when you outright refused to refund, prior to the paypal case. The paypal case was found in my favour so there is no longer any point mate.

            • +1

@batteriesnotincluded: If you change your mind - please PM us so we can make it right. Will be happy to offer you a free replacement or $50 credit regardless if it was resolved by paypal or not in your favour.

If I have not mistaken who you are, it was the black vintage leather strap. I just reviewed the photos and I believe we did mess up as our packing team had also sent you the wrong strap (which wasn't addressed in our correspondence).

              Cheers.
              Simon.

              • @STRAPIFY Watch Strap: Crikey. Multiple emails, photo evidence, and then further interactions throughout a paypal case, over numerous weeks, and now that we're in a public forum you're keen to make things right? Sigh. As I said, paypal found in my favour and issued a refund, I sent your product back, and we're square (lost time, energy and postage notwithstanding) … no need for anything further, I'd rather shop elsewhere thank you.

                • @batteriesnotincluded: Your issue was to do with the fact that the strap had 8 holes instead of 7 holes and the form you filled in didn't actually mention anything to do with the fact that we had actually sent you the complete wrong strap.

As I was trying to establish who you were, I reviewed all our prior PayPal disputes and reviewed the photos that were uploaded and only just then realised this. So our sincere apologies for this.

We get over 40 emails a day and it's hard to be super thorough when I personally need to answer them all but it's a learning and I will cop this one on the chin and improve from here on.

                  Have a great week ahead.

                  Cheers,
                  Simon.

                  • @STRAPIFY Watch Strap: Holes, colour, size, different model strap, it doesn't matter … if the product you send is not the product that was described, the customer should be able to get a refund without having to go into bat through a paypal case, full stop.

  • This isn’t a good look on your part.

    • It's definitely not. I guess we got a bit unlucky in terms of who decided to put negative votes up and the experience they had. In saying that, we're the 2nd highest rated watch strap company on productreview so we aren't doing everything wrong at least! Definitely some learnings to come from this so we will continue to make improvements and strive to be better.

    • Check out Barton from the USA - more competitive prices, always discounts or deals on and free postage above minimum spends. The online chat and sales assistants are very helpful. Recommended.
