[SA] Fee Free TAFE Courses @ TAFE SA

110

Fee Free TAFE and vocational education is a joint initiative of the Australian and South Australian Governments providing tuition-free training places to students wanting to train, retrain or upskill.

Thousands of South Australians have enrolled and commenced study in Fee Free TAFE courses since the launch of the initiative at the beginning of 2023.

The response from the community to Fee Free TAFE across the state has exceeded our expectations and many of the designated Fee Free TAFE places have been used in Semester 1 this year.

The huge success of Fee Free TAFE in Semester 1 resulted in some applicants not being able to start study in Fee Free TAFE courses in Semester 1. These applicants have been prioritised for Semester 2 places and, where possible, they have been made offers for Fee Free places.

This has resulted in limited places being available for Semester 2, 2023.

Applications for study in Semester 2 at TAFE SA are now open and the Fee Free TAFE places available have been prioritised for Skill Set courses to meet skill needs in education, cookery, and mining and engineering.

Fee-Free TAFE Skill Set Courses that remain available for Semester 2, 2023 are listed below.

TAFE SA continues to offer Government subsidised training across a broad range of sectors and places are available for study in Semester 2.

Fee Free TAFE places are available for students enrolling to start in 2023, subject to funding availability, and will remain free for eligible students for the duration of the course.

    • My local Woolies did not have a baker in the last 12 months, they sell defrosted bread so maybe not that useless a bakery course

      • My local coles been doing much the same.

      • Daughter just finished the bakery course cert 3. [Qld).
We are absolutely stuffed with the different breads, tarts, profiteroles and biscuits she brought home every week!

  • I am not sure you get a freebie for the second TAFE course if you have already had a freebie. At least not in Qld.
