Hey - I know this had an upfront cost awhile ago, but it is free now. No details on how long for, or if it's now become free permanently. Either way this may be of use to some here on OB

Are you too embarrassed to tell them about the granny panties?

Sorry if you missed my humour… way too many Qs for a loyalty program…sure Virgin and Qantas ask similar but mostly tell them very basic info

Hope none of you gave out your Passport/D.O.B info- to some random Co. on the internet

It's Air Asia - pretty sure I've given them not only my passport no., address and DOB, but also my credit card details… not sure how you intend to fly without them.

        • it is NOT…
please look up the whois and post back here the detail

The Air Asia BIG loyalty program is an AIR ASIA offering. It works in conjunction with a visa card which is provided by Tune. If you only sign in to the deal I have posted, your details go to Air Asia - not tune. If you then get the Visa, that's another story.

In any case it's a partnership which would mean same privacy agreements, and both companies were founded by the same guy.

        • Dude gtfo.. I use Tune2Big, I have a BIG card they sent out. Air Asia even promotes it on THEIR website.

I signed up for this last night and have received maybe 100 duplicate welcome emails from them and they are still coming. Seems like a system glitch.

    • +1

      me too

    • Same same-joined up last nite and received 8 innocuous similar emails within an hour. These have stopped now but i did search their website to find the magic button: 'unsubscribe from future emails' but it wasn't there. No way could I see how to unsubscribe. Could this be a breach of the telecommunications act? I'm unsure!!

  • Where is AirAsia host? I'll be weary to go there!

    • +8

Yes, I'm sure you'll be tired of it. :)

So what are the benefits? Other than getting promo emails?

    • Off the site:
Access to exclusive member only sales on AirAsia.com.
Earn BIG Points from flights, AirAsia add-on services such as meals, baggage and insurance , BIG Partners and online shopping
Use your BIG Points for FREE flights and hotel packages

      • How to earn points ??? Is it linked to the Big Card - credit card from Air Asia?

        http://www.tune2big.com/my/en/tunegroup.html

        • I think you can just use your ID number, but it could be card dependent - I'm not sure, sorry.

save 10RM so $3.09 Aus lol

    • Not really, you don't get a free CIMB Visa Card :p

      • you dont get the visa card free do you? thought it was a prepaid costing 5rm minimum.
I did the big facebook link to join for a family member to get the bonus points on my card, when they use their card…and the cost of the big program was 10rm, so didnt bother.

        • It's RM10, not 10RM…

And goto the main site and manually sign up, you get 2 options…

Annual Fee - Local currency equivalent to MYR5 or
*WAIVED with 6 times card usage before next anniversary date
*if insufficient, 500 BIG Points will be deducted
    http://www.tune2big.com/sg/en/bigfees.html

Doesn't have much offer for purchasing in Australia. Unless you are flying with AirAsia often, I do not see how I am going to use the card 6 times in a year.
