  • Does lithium as well, very good. One of the review stated it worked on their 128ah lithium battery (I can only assume lifepo4 at that size? I dunno)

I have this one. Just be aware it takes ages to charge the battery to full and do not support EFB batteries. Otherwise good simple cheap charger.

Ive got this. Pretty good charger. Will charge a car battery up overnight.

  • Has anyone used this for their motorcycle battery? I have got Lithium SSB battery and looking to get it..

    • +1

      Yep.

I use it on an agm car battery, calcium car battery, AGM motorcycle battery and now noco lithium motorcycle battery.

Thing is, Lithium start batteries installed on a vehicle that was produced with a SLA fitted from factory are gunna be made to charge from a charging source made for Lead Acid … charging them from a lead acid charger gunna be ok!

  • I was about to pull the trigger on a 7 stage 8amp one on Amazon but this one also does lithium…. Future proof with lithium charging or 8amp that suits all my current batts? Im holding off while I have a think. Anyones thoughts? 10% off https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0BXNY9VBR

    • Go the certa one. That's tried and tested.
8A isn't helping to charge magnitudes faster anyway

      • Thanks, ordered.

        • It arrived today. Attached it to a 70% charged battery. Did all sort of stuff between 2 and 3 amps. Still going as I write this. I'm pleased.

  • Kogan/Dick Smith should NOT be supported after the way they have lied and cheated customers in the past!

  • does this charge 12v battery instead of running the car for 10-20mins after a jump start?

    • +1

Yes, will charge the battery from a wall socket and bring it up to the correct charge state.

Designed to charge the battery if it goes flat, recondition it during charge and also provide a float charge to keep it in a charged state should you not run the vehicle for a while and require the battery to stay charged.

  • What is the charge rate?
Would this charger be suitable to charge this battery https://voltx.com.au/products/voltx-12v-100ah to full

    • +1

I believe it will, I have used this battery charger to charge a 110ah battery which was at 11.8V ( havent used it in two years), took about 14 odd hours to complete charging. The charging amps was fluctuating between 4.5 A - 6-5 A at different times when I checked. Quiet impressed after it finished charging, the battery is holding up well at 12.4 volts.
Battery is a Lead Acid battery.

  • Thanks OP, will grab to charge a lithium camp battery.

One left on eBay if anyone else wants it - worked out cheaper for me at $32.19 delivered after a coupon because Kogan shipping to NT is pox

  • Had 2 of these and used maybe once a month on a undriven car, neither lasted longer than 8 months and in both cases the screen went funky, YMMV
Ended up getting a CTEK 6.0 mxs 5.0, has been charging reliably for over 18 months.
