I have all three. Ana-digi is the truth.

Citizen Promaster JY8085-81E $499. I said no more all black pvd watches but (profanity) it, I'm getting one.

Citizen Pepsi Fugu NY0110-13E $379. Kinda want this too, but I already ordered 2 Wolf cases that hold 3 watches each and I already have 6 for TRS

      Better than a Daytona imo

I have the gold. Which is best out of silver and black if i can only choose 1?

I would never get tired of this

  • It looks pretty funky and I kind of want to buy one for a laugh. Not sure I want to spend $250-300 on a quick laugh, though.

    • This watch is totes cereal, no laughs.

But seriosly, it's an awesome watch, super light and thin, and ani-digi.

    • Maybe just get a Synoke 9619 & you can pretend it has the same features.

    • Spend $5 on Ali for a skmei robot transformer watch guarantees a quick laugh and some likes on the Australian affordable watch forum if a dopamine hit is your thing

    • Yeah it's kind of cool and retro, like those calculator watches or something the thunderbirds would wear. Can t say I'd really want one but know people like rosebank love them, as a collector. The vintage look is cool.

Not that easy to actually read the time, I gather it's just the top left dial, besides bought enough watches for now =P

  • The SARB SRPD99J for $500 seems like a decent buy. The movement is nothing exciting but it looks the part and has a sapphire crystal (not too common on Seiko in this price range).

    • Please don't call that a SARB. Fake SARB looks totally different. I even made an infographic thing I'll try to find it

EDIT: here is my rant about the new "SARB": https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/770565

      • lol
I did have a bit of hesitation when posting that because I knew there was some contention around the SARB but I could not remember what the issue/s were.
I can appreciate why SARB fans would not be be thrilled with the new SARB (sorry). The movement and WR are both inferior to the old.

However, if we ignore the OG SARB, the new SARB (sorry) is a good buy.

        • I just them to stop calling it a SARB, because it's just looks… bad. Its a Presage SRPD99J. At least the new Prosex "Alpinists" look like the old ones

        • It looks like the next best thing since you can't buy sarb 033 anymore, and looks like a close enough style.

    So so ugly.

Some will like it, some won't.

  • Is this an all time low for the Citizen JG2101-78E Silver?

    • Most likely yes. Starbuy didn't even carry these recently. I paid over $100 more

    Grab one. Thanks, OP.

    • Ana-digi gang 100 enomji

I think we should call the gold version C3PO…
It will get the respect it deserves.. (In saying that i would still not buy it lol)
Also that FC that was on sale but sold out was an awesome deal.

since we wearing the watch is it mostly 37c temp?

    • -2

Depends where you wear it.. inside your body perhaps?

Maybe the thermometer is insulated from skin. If not, I think it's still useful to help check if person wearing it is still alive as target demographic is likely in that age bracket.

    • Done some reading, apparently in watches thermometer have multiple sensors with algorithms to calculate estimated environmental temperature

      • Makes sense, it would be pretty Pointless if it always read normal body temp.

Anyway just look at your phone, PC, ask Google, ha

      • These watches in particular do that? or watches with thermometers in general do that?

Your wording left it a bit ambiguous.

        • Just wearable in general - long story short. know someone collect 80s tech mags. one of article : 2 plate sensors. 1 at bottom plate next to skin, another one above that, contact with air, 2 plate known distant apart and with some thermodynamic thingamajig it calculates the temp.

cant imagine it be accurate, now days smart watches uses those infrared led on the skin side

  • Nothing is jumping out at me this weekend. The Promaster maybe, but it has already sold out and I'm not so flush as to drop $500 on maybe.

Besides, four watches in two weeks, that's enough buying until rax refund time.

    • Same, promaster eco-drive limited edition and a JDM Tuna. Already had to get another 6 spot watch box.

  • Will wait for the black to show up as a daily deal for $199

    • Yeah super expensive for what they are.
