It probably won't be good quality though…I read this in a review about another model of theirs :
"the remote control is randomly very slow to respond, yet sometimes it will stutter with multiple entries when a button is only pushed once" - https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/ffalcon-50uf2-50

      …F-F-FFancy that, a F-F-FFalcon TV S-S-SStuttering!?! :)

  • is it worth buying this or pay $200 more for a better brand?

Depends on what you're used to. If you've always had cheap TVs you'll probably think it's a little better than what you have. The real bracket creep is when you try something a lot better (eg OLED, wines, whiskeys) and you can't go back. I no longer try new alcohol but have been caught out on TVs.

My friend, these days poor quality is across the board so you gotta pick the less lethal poison, so to speak.

My 2 cents: go with the ffalcon to teach the name brands to treat customers better.

Picture quality is perfectly fine, I picked one up and didn't have the remote or legs screws in the box - Good guys just ripped one out of another one - job done - well worth the price

Good point, didn't even think of that.

  • these are made by TCL for jbhifi/good guys in-house brand.

  • This or one of the cheaper Kogan TVs?

    • +1

dealing with JB is much easier than dealing with Kogan if the TV is faulty.

      • same quality though?

        • I don't know. All I know is that TCL's link to Ffalcon could result in better quality, dependent on who makes Kogan panels.
