                • @Clear: Woooooow, really? I was seriously just trying to be reasonble and offer some advice here and didn't expect such small minded responses. Serious immaturity dude. Lesson learned. Will never engage with you again.

                  • -1

@Villainous: Your original comment came off far from being 'helpful advice' when you were defending those who are attacking everyone else who believes in masks, covid and vaccines.

I can say the word "antivaxxer" and that's a big no no, but you upvoting and supporting those people attacking others is perfectly fine? Hypocrisy.

                  • +1

@Villainous: The Covid Karens like saying vague things like "they work well" but they don't elaborate on what they work well at or what they are comparing it to.

They need to live in the realm of vague suggestive statements because there is no logic or evidence underpinning any of them.

                    • @jmc787: Good thing I was never talking about COVID, so your comment is right. Glad Villainous can side on something for once. Masks have other purposes, like in my case bushfire smoke.

                      • @Clear: ok cool, but anti vaxxer is a generic insult thrown around like confetti by lobotomised covid karens, so you're doing yourself a disservice by associating yourself with them.

                        • @jmc787: What should someone who is against covid vaccines be called? Antivaxxer has always been the nickname, or is there another I'm not aware of?

                          • -1

@Clear: Covid vaccines are not vaccines

They changed the definition of vaccines to describe some novel pharmaceutical products, given they do not prevent contraction, onward transmission, hospitalisation, serious illness or death.

Pre-covid if i told you a product did none of those things no matter how many of them you took, you would LOL if I suggested that product was a vaccine.

The Astrazeneca and J&J products have already been consigned to the dustbin of history, the Pfizer and Moderna products will follow suit.

                            • @jmc787: If covid vaccines are not "vaccines" why are they still being called "vaccines" on the DoH COVID website? What should they be called?

                              • @Clear: Risky ineffective potential clot shots I'd call them.

There is an argument to be made that they were efficacious for the Wuhan, Alpha and Delta strains, but there is no argument for them since the "mild" Omicron strains emerged in November 2021.

There is strong evidence emerging that more "vaccines" makes you more susceptible to contracting covid, so they are actually harming the innate immune system, not enhancing it.

A lie this big takes a long time to unwind as all the liars need to find their plausible deniability before the truth can emerge "officially".

                                  Yep agreed.

That's not one I've heard about. Admittedly like many people I've just sort of forgotten about it. I'll definitely do some research.

That's not the definition of vaccine though. It's the desired outcome, but not what makes it a vaccine. Very very layman understanding from you there.

@Clear: "Good thing I was never talking about COVID"

You brought up "antivaxxers" "Covid" and "vaccines". I read your comments dude. Don't try and hide it by deleting them, then neg mine.

                        Lame, dude. Really lame.

@Villainous: You call me out for "name calling" and what do you do? Call me names. Yeah….. you're a massive hypocrite mate.

My original comment was about how these work well. Then someone who has already made it very clear they're against masks mocks them so I later further clarify that I was never talking about masks for COVID

The only reason COVID has been brought up is by the others. jmc said "antivaxxer" is an insult so I asked for the preferred term. Instead I got a non-answer and was told covid vaccines are not vaccines so naturally I asked for clarification

Perhaps you can tell me the preferred term for someone who doesn't support/believe in covid vaccines? If there is one?

                          • -1

@Clear: "You call me out for "name calling" and what do you do? Call me names. Yeah….. you're a massive hypocrite mate."

Go back and re-read my replies to you. I called out your specific actions but never called YOU a single name.

"My original comment was about how these work well. Then someone who has already made it very clear they're against masks mocks them so I later further clarify that I was never talking about masks for COVID"

You're very first post yes, but then you called them "antivaxxers" and that they were "triggered". This is where I stepped in to offer advice. You've gone ahead and deleted those comments to hide this and try to now put yourself in a morally superior position.

"Perhaps you can tell me the preferred term for someone who doesn't support/believe in covid vaccines? If there is one?"

Well, no, there isn't one, nor does there need to be one. "Antivaxxer" means someone who is, againt ALL vaccines. Did you accertain at anytime that this is the case? No. Ok so you are simply name calling.

If someone is againt 1 single type of vaccine then they just hold that position. And when we were all told that this vaccine would stop you from getting covid, stop you from spreading covid, stop you from getting seriously ill with covid, stop you from going to the hospital with covid and stop you from dying from covid, and that we were told these things everytime the former was proven wrong, then how can you blame anyone from questioning this? It's a completely reasonable and logical position to hold.

                              @Villainous: If I hate Collingwood am I anti-AFL ?

The logic or more precisely lack of is mind boggling.

                              • @jmc787: Spot on with your example 👍

                                This guy gets it.

                                • @Villainous: He's way ahead of either of us.

@Clear: I'm an engineer and my almost 30 year career has revolved around extracting facts from conjecture and opinions.I am not particularly academically clever but I have an extremely sensitive and highly developed bullshit detector.

Since March 2020 my bullshit detector regarding Covid <lockdowns, masking ,vaccines, fatality rates, vulnerable population> has been bouncing off the limiter.

To call covid a scamdemic is the greatest understatement of all time. We are all swimming upstream against a powerful current of commercially and politically motivated lies. The people telling these lies are all people that we were conditioned to trust - doctors, academics, scientists, public health "experts".

I've been through this cycle of lies before with the GFC when bankers, credit agencies, actuaries, economists and financial "experts" were all proven to be frauds and commercially motivated liars.

We learnt from the GFC that the entire finance industry was corrupted, self interested and fundamentally dishonest, now we have learnt from Covid that that the media, medical, academic and pharmaceutical industries are exactly the same. We know that politicans are lying bullshitters by trade so I dont include them.

Overall it has been a fantastic eye opening experience and I thank all involved for revealing themselves.

                                    • @jmc787: An engineer of what? It certainly hasn't helped you tell the difference between what a vaccine is and what's the desired outcome is. Thats why all the different COVID vaccines are still called vaccines. They only changed the desired outcome. Surely you should have known this?

@Villainous: Mate..why are you amd jmc787 wasting your time with this person? Life is short..let them live in ignorance. There is no helping them.

                              • @Motek Benzona: As the old saying goes, don't argue with stupid.

Face masks to reduce smoke inhalation during bush fire season is extremely ignorant. Knowing the difference between a COVID vaccine's definition and desired outcome is extremely ignorant.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, unless we disagree with you!

                                • @Clear: I have a GREAT way of sorting out those who are worthy of conversation

1: Use the cliche word antivaxxer in a blanket fashion = not worth the time

Unlike the other two im enjoying seeing you vaccinated drop off in numbers due to..well you know deep down. Long may it continue to thin the herd

                                  Goodbye

                                  • @Motek Benzona: Haven't had a booster in over 12 months

1: Use the cliche word antivaxxer in a blanket fashion = not worth the time

You've given me some time already. How much more do I get from you?

        • Spit in her face and she'll say it's raining…

Unless someone is sneezing or coughing phlem directly in your face, cloth type masks aren't going to do a damn thing besides making you smell your own bad breath. The particles of vaping are much larger than the particles from breathing and sneezing, yet you can test for yourself that vape will go right through the mask. I also don't think anyone sneezes with their mask on, that would be quite disgusting unless you're constantly throwing them away.

Even if you wear an N95, you can still get infected from a virus through your exposed eyeballs.

    • When you sneeze, does the snot come out like smoke for you? Interesting.

I also don't think anyone sneezes with their mask on, that would be quite disgusting unless you're constantly throwing them away.

Isn't that like saying seat belts don't work because Bob refuses to wear it?

Why do people think the words like "reduce" means "stop" 🤔 effing weird.

When you sneeze, does the snot come out like smoke for you? Interesting.

How about you read the very first sentence properly when I said "Unless someone is sneezing or coughing phlem directly in your face,"
Basic comprehension is very hard isn't it?

Also vaping releases vapour not smoke.
This is no different to you releasing vapour when you breathe, the only reason you see vape vapour is because there are compounds in vape liquid that let you see it.

Isn't that like saying seat belts don't work because Bob refuses to wear it?

Poor comparison to walking around with a mask full of snot.
So you go around sneezing into your mask and keep it on? You're absolutely disgusting mate.

What kind of universe do you live where you=someone? One with lower than basic comprehension?

"Like" - "having the same characteristics or qualities as; similar to."

Word doesn't exist in your universe?

you go around sneezing into your mask and keep it on? You're absolutely disgusting mate.

I never said that. Again, poor comprehension. I'm not surprised you can't think of a way to deal with the issue.

      • your sentences sound like you had a stroke (which I wouldn't be surprised since I'm guessing you're vaccinated) and you want to comment about my comprehension? yeah ok buddy.

        • I'm pretty sure everything looks like a result of a stroke to you, given the obvious.
If I had a stroke yet still was able to start my sentences with a capital…oh boy, you have it worse than me.

Anyway, continue with making crap up to make yourself feel smart.
