    No stock?

  • No stock :(

  • Wow, that went quick!

    • Don't think it was ever there.

      • No it definitely was available. I went all the way through checkout before the pay stage. It gave me delivery options or pickup in Parramatta or Townsville. I already have one so I cancelled and removed from basket before posting.

Heh seems like a common clickbait tactic that Bricks Megastore is following. Same happened with the Mustang last week

Hmm, I saw some Galaxy Explorer sets in the Broadway store on Sunday - can't say how many but there were at least a few on the shelf.
Could it be staff Dick Smith-ing the deals as soon as announced.

    SPACESHIP!

Don't like it. And I had these kind of space sets as a kid. Perhaps ok if you want a mint red space person

    • It's a great design and looks simpler than it is. Definitely aimed at the adult nostalgia market though. I'm a sucker for modern remakes of old classics.
I wish they included a blue and yellow figure instead of another red and white. I know they're staying true to the colours of the time but still.

I got quite heavily negged on a previous deal when I criticised this set.
I absolutely love the Classic Space range, had sets when I was younger, and have craved being able to build them ever since I rediscovered Lego with my kids. Sadly this hugely anticipated set misses the mark by trying to be too clever and 'adult'. There is nothing enthralling about building the base (wings) with 1,000 little bricks. Too big to play with and not really interesting enough to display (in fact, it's too big for my cabinets too) since they didn't include the moon landscape that the original set had.
The Classic Space range was fun.

And such a shame they couldn't offer more colours of the spacemen; instead of two red and two white, why not one of each of the classic colours - or a harder to find colour (green, orange, black, grey) or a new colour (purple)?

      • Yeah they should have made the colours complement 70841 to complete the classic colours. Should have had at least two out of red, blue, black, grey.

You can get purple. Albeit it's assembled from other figs.

  • It was definitely there, I got one early this morning.
