Hori mini arcade stick for switch and PC.
Getting rarer and noticed it's a great buy for an arcade stick suited to casual play.
Looks like best price I can find anywhere and significantly cheaper than Aussie shops.

Not easily moddable outside the restrictor gate and ball top as has soldered buttons. Better off getting a Mayflash F300 for a bit more as that is a universal stick and can be modded.

    • Thoughts on 8BitDo Arcade Stick vs Mayflash F300?

      • +9

i would personally get a Mayflash F500 at that point as the F500 has customizable art, has more room for more Joystiq configs if you want something outside a Sanwa stick and uses the same shell as a Venom Arcade Stick unless you like the default look of the 8bitdo. Also there is a Xbox version of the 8BitDo stick that just came out if you plan on playing on Xbox. There are other things think about, such as the ability hook up a 8bitdo to your playstation if you get a Brook adaptor.

Having said that 8bitdo Arcade stick looks like a good choice and offers a wireless option if that is an appeal, i personally prefer the universal nature of the Mayflash sticks so you don't need any extra adaptors.

There are budget arcade stick options under the $150 mark but i don't think this Hori Mini is it.

FYI - for those who want to get the 8bitdo arcade stick and mod it with something other than Sanwa sticks, I just installed a Siemitsu LS-32-01.
I was surprised it fit without any interference as I was ready to drill some holes as per the internet guides.
I mainly chose the 8bitdo as it was wireless.

  • can I play #37 on this?

It's hilarious reading this same comment on every controller related deal. I wonder when it'll get stale.

The popularity of the joke will eventually implode.

you've definitely crushed it with that joke…. A+

    • Probably could deliver a crushing blow resulting in a fatality..

FYI, it really is mini. Buttons are slightly larger than your average fingertips.

    wish it were wireless though….

  • Any hitbox style from amazon jp

    • i am getting a basic one from Aliexpress for $130, it should arrive in or or two weeks. I am not spending almost 400 AUD on something i might give up on and potentially hate the control scheme. I ended up getting a Fightbox b1 mini (sort of a Snackbox Mini clone) and might just replace the keys to different microswitches on the cheap.

  • Great price and fight stick size is much larger than a traditional controller/joystick , best is to look it up on youtube , also the Mayflash 300 is twice the price .

If you're after a regular size stick for PC/PS4/Xbox (doesn't mention Switch), take a look at the Krom for $48 + shipping.

  • I have the original big hori for switch, barely use it but it seems good, very tempted to get this for something smaller though.
