Not a good deal, the galaxy tab 7.7 has been around this price from a few stores.

why would you post a deal if youre not sure if its good?

    i dont get people

    • coz I like "discussion approach" where other people may have better deal, better knowledge.
And then see what other people say.

I don't want to be too sure that the deal I posted is good or best. However I checked other seller in Australia selling for $299, so this might be better deal, but not best.

Use the forum then for your "discussion approach" ;)

the tab 7.7 is better in every respect, and the nexus 7 is better in most respects (unless you live or die by SD card storage), and both are available for around the same price.

    • Unless you have a time machine tucked away somewhere, it'll be hard to find stock for the 7.7

    • Where I can buy Galaxy 7.7 for less than $300.00, if I miss those deal from HN, DS or Mobicity?

      • i want one too.
went to myer brisbane cbd. they have one left- ex display for $459. say wha?

that's not entirely true: the 7.0 is slightly smaller (but thicker) than both of those - which might be important to you.

as an owner of the original SGT (which is roughly the same size as the 7.0), i would not upgrade to the 7.7 or nexus 7 because they would not fit in my coat pocket (original SGT JUST fits).

i would trade ALL OTHER SPECS for the ability to carry it in my coat pocket.

so no, not in EVERY respect.

      • 7.0 also has 200 less pixels than the 7.7 or nexus.

        • -2

what part of "pixels" doesn't fit into "ALL OTHER SPECS"…?

but thank you for taking the time to read (but not understand) my comment…

        • in theory pixel density could be increased and still fit in your coat :)
what do u do in summer

        • -1

Yeah in theory it could (iPad 7" maybe?)…but in fact, neither of those tablets being discussed does.

In summer, I don't take my tablet (or carry it in my hand if I really want it).

PS. It's funny people negged me when I am entirely factually correct! I'm not even saying this tablet is better! (just that the original (absolute) comment was not entirely accurate…and that your reply is logically irrelevant to the arguement, because I already know and admit that the other specs are better)

If you actually read (and understand) the comments , you would know I am (absolutely) factually correct…I guess some people just don't like the truth! Ha, whatever, neg away!

      • Get another coat. No one cares if it can fit in your coat pocket(fact). Size is a preference. Just because it's a bit larger doesn't make it worse. If you want to keep ancient tech for the sake of a few mm, go for it.

This may fit perfectly in my coat pocket, so it is in fact better in EVERY respect(for me).

        • And there you go, that is EXACTLY my point : it is better in every way (FOR YOU) - emphasis on "for you", because size is, as you said, a preference.

And as size is a preference, and a smaller size may be a preference (as implied in saying "for you"), therefore it is not ABSOLUTELY better in EVERY way: it is not smaller, which may be a preference for some (hence the reason for my example of my own preference, which you dutifully try to invalidate, rather than addressing the point).

QED. Thank you for proving my point.

PS. This is all ENTIRELY besides the point, but since you ask: my coat costs A LOT more than your crappy tablet, so no, i don't particularly want to buy a new one just to fit a stupid tablet in. And yes I am entirely happy with my ancient tech using my SGT (the original one!), thank you very much. it does everything i need it to do.

        • geez…if we were talking about the size of a phone or the size of a camera, people would accept the (completely valid) argument, and move one.

all i'm saying is that the 7.0 is smaller than the 7.7 (fact). that spec is important to some people. not YOU…but some people. and size is a completely legitimate spec to compare, so no, it is not better in EVERY way.

people blinded by their desire to have the latest and greatest tech specs tend to forget that any preference different from their own (ie size/portability) might be valid too…

i welcome anyone to use rational and logical argument (rather than preference) to show me anything i have said that is wrong (instead of just telling me to get a new coat!).

(hint: you can't, because everything i said is fact. that includes the statement of my preferences, which is stated to evidence the fact, not stated as an absolute proof that my preference is the correct one)

        • Like how the Huawei X1 is better than the Galaxy S2 in a way because it's extremely slow and it allows me to ponder the meaning of life while the apps load.

        • there is no valid reason for "slower" (in and of itself) to be a valued spec.

          "smaller" is a valid preference.

thus, you have made a false (and emotive) analogy.

          thank you, try again.

  • Normal price after added shipping.

What has happened to ozbargain?? A 'discussion approach'?? People should be certain that a deal is an actual deal before posting or face a ban IMO.

  • Get a google Nexus 7 with 16GB for around $315 and includes $25 credit to buy apps etc.
