Do you refund the membership fee if you go out of business?

    • +1

I doubt we will go out of business but if we were it would be via administration and it would be up to the administrator whether or not you receive a refund.

    • It's kinda suss that that all the new equipment is promised to come just weeks after this 1 year prepaid offer is finished… Will you refund the membership fee if the new equipment doesn't arrive?

      • -1

Given that we have signed contracts with the manafacturer I doubt this will be required.

        • +4

          Yes or No?

        • -1

No, because the equipment is coming.

        • +3

Why not answer yes then… because by your words there is no chance you would need to take the action.

        • +1

Because if it doesn't come, which is a possibility, they will not let you cancel your membership and get a refund….

They sound dodgy to me… Stay away.

^^ Works for the competition or is just a troll, check users other comments on other deals.

The equipment is on order, there is contracts signed. We will not need to refund any membership as the equipment will be here in November.

To be fair, I've never seen a gym offer to refund a membership because gym equipment doesn't come in. If the gym is functional, then it should have enough equipment to run as is. The fact that they are getting new equipment in November is a bonus. Even if they did agree to that stipulation, 1 fit ball could be counted as new equipment thus fulfilling your refund guarantee.

Similar scenario at my current gym. Before I joined they said, we are getting all this new equipment and going 24 hours. I took their word on it and they followed through.

        • +4

If you are signing up based on the pitch of new equipment, then you should be able to get a refund if they go back on that promise…

          "^^ Works for the competition…"

Lolwut? Wow, Rep.. you were pretty quick to grasp at that straw.

          "or is just a troll"

He's posing legitimate questions. Just because you are finding it difficult doesn't necessarily make him a troll.

"check users other comments on other deals."

You go check his other comments. I don't much like being told what to do. :P

zoo fitness? when did the name change? wasnt this place used to called maidstone health fitness?

    • Yes andy2 it used to be called Maidstone Health Club. Maidstone Health Club was sold back in February this year. Watch this space, or better yet come join us.

  • +7

Hmm, 2 weeks ago it was $199. Now you have a new name and it's $50 more expensive. Not much of a bargain in comparison.

      • +1

$4.80 per week is quite cheap for a gym membership and appears to be roughly half the price of your normal membership. I'm just saying that this deal offers less value than the deal offered last time. If people see that you offered cheaper deals on here or your Facebook page, then they will feel they are not getting the best value for money.

For reference: I pay $10/week for a 24 hour gym near CBD.

      • +1

I pay $10 per week, no contract, free sign up, 24 hour access…

Doubt i'd want to pay a year up front and risk losing all my money when you go bankrupt.

        • -3

          Each to their own.

      • +4

"Hmmm, yea I guess you are right. Off you go to Fitness First or Genesis and pay your $1000+ per year."

He was just making a point and stating the facts.. certainly not in a rude manner, I might add. For you to get snarky and patronizing is indicative of your inability to manage customer relations.

Lol I dare say your "sale" will probably need to go for longer than the 30th September if you keeping showing prospective customers your true colours before they sign on the dotted line.

Put your ear to the ground for a moment.. hear that? That muffled rumble is the sound of the stampede of patrons running in the opposite direction. Cheap and nasty ain't where it's at, dude. :P

That price actually only expired a couple days ago… So they're actually advertising a price increase… Random!

      • +4

More like SPAM then, rather than a bargain

        • +4

agree - its a neg for me

      • -3

Look if you are not interested go troll somewhere else. Either way you look at it is a bargain as it is more than 50% cheaper than any of our competition.

        • +3

Its not a bargain when you advertise a price increase.

Your attitude sux BTW… Maybe you're not suited to the service industry?

  • +9

Rep, are you an employee at this gym or the owner? If it's the former, your boss needs to reef you away from the 'puter before you do any more damage.

If it's the latter, then (going by your crap attitude here, and by the way you've demonstrated how you handle curly situations) I imagine it would be an absolute nightmare to be locked into a twelve month contract with you and your business.

    • +2

      Well said…

    • +3

Spot on. I'm looking for a new gym, wont be this one solely based on the reps attitude. If this is how they "entice" new customers, god only knows what would happen if I joined them and then had a problem.

  • +2

I've been warning people to stay away from this gym, great employees but my best friend works there and says there is a "Steriod heavy" culture that seems to be growing.

Particularly in middle aged women on treadmills.

Is it true that Lance Armstrong used to train there?
