I much, much prefer Type C but if there are no similar alternatives (the mids and lows are pretty good for the size, and it's weather-resistant), I find Micro USB alright since I'm still swimming in old Micro USB cables.

Don't mind micro USB but I use magnetic connections.
I used to make this comment about 3 to 4 years ago and got negged by everyone.

Anyone has one of these and can comment how the voice control (or google assistant integration) works? Do you pair it to your phone and then you give voice commands using "Ok google/siri/alexa", or is it an independent unit like a google nest mini?
Still waiting for mine to arrive, but read this in the manual.

You have to press and hold the middle button to activate google home, the word phrase alone doesnt work.
P.s. im still using the pre-refresh model , currently 4yo (refresh models differences r just the colours: lighter blue n white)
These devices have a strange thing going on.
They automatically turn on when one of your previously connected devices are switched on. E.g. i turn on my PC, this speaker automatically switches on and connects to PC. Also happens to phone/tablet.
Bose previously had a forum (now gone) with tonnes of people having this issue. Where the only solution was to get a new device n not update the firmware.
But i still like my soundlink micro for its portability n sound
When you say pre-refresh model, is this the model on sale?
The old model colours were black, orange n navy blue. Im not sure of model numbers.
So i guess these r the new models (just colour differences)

In terms of the microUSB charging, comparing with the price and sound quality in this portable size plus the battery life (I used for eight hours each night for 3 nights as my daughter sleeping bgm plus showering in one charge), it is fully acceptable for my usage.
I received mine today. Considering it's size, I'm very happy with the sound quality this pump out.
