Tecware Phantom RGB 104-key Wired Mechanical Keyboard (Outemu Blue switches) $49.95 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ PCByte

60

A decent budget mechanical keyboard, this usually sits cheapest on Amazon AU for $79.95. I have used this at home for 2+ years for no issues with Outemu Brown switches.

The macro and lighting software does the job, I paid $80 two years ago and wasn't disappointed.

Hey OP, I notice this is your first post. I see what you've done with the title of the deal - it might be better to put "$49.95 (plus $0 pickup/$10 shipped)" or similar.

Thank you! Someone got to it and fixed it before I could :)

Probably one of the mods who works their wonders in the background without asking for anything in return :)

  • Anyone like blues switch. I found it too loud.

    • Yeah I can't stand them! :)

Mine started playing up after about a year (brown switches version), randomly presses the T key and ignores some others . Ymmv

    • Mine died after 18 months. I swapped the switches to silent whites which worked well and transferred them to my new board (Redragon K582) so now have a full set (plus a few spares) of Outemu Reds to sell :-)

      • Brown switches in mine started dying (WASD etc were the first to start not working). Replaced all with akko purples but about a year later it failed - lost a vertical line of keys (6YHN) totally, some kind of pcb fault.

  • The Phantom L (low profile) Tenkeyless red switch is my everyday keyboard and I think its excellent. But I'd wait for a special on that one - they have come down to this level in the past.

    • I guess they stopped making that one. Red switch version is out of stock everywhere. I even had a placed order cancelled by the seller saying they didn't have any stock.

I had the Phantom L brown switch version. Brown low profiles were too mushy for my taste.

  • FWIW I've got two of these (work and home) in brown switches and they're definitely a step up on other budget mech keyboards. Good deal for the price (if you like blues)

  • I am waiting for their Phantom+ Elite versions to come to Aus. They're available in Amazon US. But, after shipping and taxes, it becomes too expensive.
