          How does having issues with their referral program warrant negging this deal?

          "Issue with retailer" is a valid reason according to voting guidelines.

          Also it never said shipping was free.

          No idea where you copied that, but all I see on the invite page is this:

          When your friend purchases Chipolo using your invitation link, you are awarded with 1 star. Collect 3 and get a FREE Chipolo!

          It doesn't say anything about having to pay for the shipping costs. It doesn't say "Chipolo One", either.

          Now I'm not too fussed as I was only curious and thought that a free one would be nice. It's a stretch to call something "free" if all you get is a $25 discount, but then they ask you to pay $19 for the shipping, though.

              @magic8ballgag: I'm not really upset (I didn't even want the Chipolo One they were offering for free) but people who respond to me, defending a mistake in a company's marketing material, are upset.

              I think people use the word "entitlement" in wrong places. I don't think I'm entitled to anything. It's just they sent us an email that basically says "here, have a free device on us", then decided to only give 50% discount, and only if I pay for the shipping.

              I even asked the nice lady on online chat to remind their marketing department to change the wording, because currently it's misleading. She said "they are aware of the issue and will be making changes soon".

              It doesn't really count if you create an issue.

              By this logic every issue is created by the consumer, even when the retailer accepts their mistake (as in this case).

            • @devize: Fair point about shipping. It still doesn't explain why I can't get a free Chipolo One Point, though:

              You will receive a promo code for a free Chipolo. All you need to do is to go to our shop page, choose the Chipolo you would like to receive, select 1-pack and enter the promo code you received in the email, at the checkout process.

              Besides the code didn't even work for the Chipolo One (it only gives a $25 discount, One is $40 + shipping)!

  • I have all android phones at home but still opted to go with the Airtag + Ipad. I'd wait for reviews on this before pre-ordering.

  • Anyone have experience with the eufy trackers? They are airtag compatible but also work with android.

    There is a Reddit thread with some useful information like:

    Chipolo Point finders that work with Google's Find My Device app does not have Out of range notifications.
    Users will be able to see the updated location of Chipolo Point in the Find My Device app. You cannot pair the Point models to the Chipolo app (thus they are not able to use the Chipolo network).
    Chipolo Point is only available in Off-white colour.

    That first one is a bit disappointing. I wonder if Google will support that one day…

  • Cheers OP. Ended up grabbing the Chipolo Point Bundle for a card to fit in the wallet. Hope it's better than tiles version.

    When does the 20% off actually apply? I get to the payment screen, and it still shows as $147, with discount code applied and a dash on the right hand side.

    Is this correct, or should it be displaying the price of ~$117?

          not working for me either. Tried incognito and guest accounts on chrome. I can get it to work if I dont add the ONE point to my cart. Can anyone try it now to see if it's still providing the discount?

    I already purchased and really want these to be good but there's no evidence it will be..

    Feels like a Kickstarter campaign at this stage lol

          • @BargainMe: I've got Airtags hidden in a couple of motorbikes and one in my luggage but as I'm an Android user I had to buy an old iPhone to be able to use them.

            Ordered the Chipolos to be able to ditch the iPhone.

          Google hasn't even released their find my device network yet. It's impossible to have any reviews for ANYTHING on the network.

    Just got another "delay" email. This one directs you to a google announcement which states:

    "User safety and the prevention of unwanted location tracking is a top priority for Android. We are working in partnership with Apple to help finalize the joint unwanted tracker alert specification by the end of this year. At this time we’ve made the decision to hold the rollout of the Find My Device network until Apple has implemented protections for iOS."

    End of this year! I want a refund.

  • Requesting refund too. They should never have taken full payment for these.

  • Aware these are not released yet, but can any experts comment whether it will/should work with same accuracy as airtags. I don't have any but seen my mate show it can point within feet/metres even directionally pointing towards the tracker.
    I have tiles and they are pretty useless - I don't have subscription.

    • October Pixel 8 will launch, I wonder if they'll launch at same time.
