Damn, that blue one is pretty spot on. Not a fan of that tachymeter round the edge though, would rather numbers with some actual meaning, or just the plain colour.

    • +2

      I guess you could say it's a "tacky-ometer".

    • Tachymeters have meaning. Its why the big red hand is there.

What other numbers do you want?

Thank (profanity) Citizen's watches are almost always too large for my wrist otherwise I might find myself contributing to the CPI numbers.

    • There're smaller ones.
However, I bought 6+ Citizen Eco-Drive, all of them stopped working after a few years. They're just collecting dust with a frozen historical time of failing.
Now I only have eWatch or band.

      • +1

It's very unusual for one to stop working but all 6+ makes me think you might be storing them away where they don't get any light?

        • +1

Now that I have Eco-Drives in rotation what I've started to do is wear one for a period of time (~1 week) and then before storing it away I'll leave it in the sun for a couple of hours. I figure that should give it enough charge.

        • That happened to mine after the band broke and I couldn't source the replacement band. Do you know if it's possible to get them working again? I tried leaving it in the sun and it didn't seem to help.

I'd jump on some eco drive with sapphire

    • +1

That really bumps the price up. Another option is to get one with mineral & wear it until it's scratched so much you need to replace it.

      • +1

        Something something modern problems.

  • Black and blue looks good. Not the usual Citizen ugliness

    • +2

I'm actually partial to the green one, think it's a bit out of the Citizen normal.

      • +1

If it were a Aston/Jag/Bentley collab it'd be ten times the price. As it is, it looks the part!

        • Agree, I bought the green, thanks @WatchNerd !!

  • +2

Great find, busy but not too over the top.

Love the blue one 😍. So tempting man.
WatchNerd what u gonna do, what u gonna do…

LOL - @WatchNerd beat me to the post by three minutes again. :)

I, too, prefer the blue as it's more legible, although the green is quite handsome, too.

    • Which one you went for man? I am 65% towards the blue, but the green is pretty nice to look at too yo.

      • +1

I didn't get one of these (I treated myself on the weekend :) but if I'd gone for one it would have been the blue.

  • these are the best deals I have seen this year, 1985 is going to rock!!

  • @WatchNerd What are your thoughts on this watch/price? Color is subjective (I like it!)

    • That's actually the last watch I bought when it was on sale. It's very nice if you like yellow. Exhibition caseback as well. It has lume but not as strong as others.

      • Ended up going for the CA0780-87X (green). I'll keep an eye on the yellow.

        • +1

I think it will look good on you.

  • Went to buy the blue. Out of stock :-(

  • I always struggle with these deals. I want it, but don't need it.

My diver (BN0150-10E) with bonetto cinturini strap has served me well and I simply can't justify getting another watch.

    Meh..
