Pretty good price for the TicWatch Pro 3, although nowhere near the insane deal from Feb this year. Don't forget to select the 50% off coupon on the details page, and add both the watch and the TicPods 2 Pro Plus to your cart.

I got this in Feb, and have been using it as my daily driver. Aside minor annoyances, it's an excellent WearOS watch for the price.

    Don't forget this is (currently) still on Wear OS 2 (despite promises of upgrade to Wear OS 3 for over 2 years now). Instead they launched a new model. That means dwindling app support e.g. no Strava, no WhatsApp Beta.

    Expect little to no support. First software update when you turn it on will disable the compass. Way too many reports of water ingress too.

      Mobvoi have launched a beta program for Wear OS 3 for the Pro 3 series only a week ago so there's a good chance it will be out in the near future now. Especially given they have a product with it already, making development much easier.

        Not a Beta, they published a Google Form. Remains to be seen what they actually do. They've completely trashed their brand so no one trusts them. And remember their latest pinky-promise was that the release would start this Q3. They're not giving themselves much time to hit that if they're only just starting thinking about possibly looking like they might have a beta program.

        They also promised the upgrade would happen last Q3 lol.

        There's some video on Reddit of an early Wear OS 3 build running on one so it might actually happen.

            @bargainshooter: Fwiw in my eyes too. I bought the ultra based on the reported (by Google) plans to upgrade which never eventuated. Mines sitting in a drawer now and I won't be buying Ticwatch again after this.

            @bargainshooter: First software update out the box disables the compass (and they won't say why - rumours about Google telling them to, interference with other sensors, royalty disputes). Way too many reports of water damage, shut their own support forum (which required post approval, and posts were rarely approved). On the very small number of occasions they do communicate it's either confusing, wrong or gives a date they don't hit. Started charging for sleep-tracking and putting ads in their app. Just about every way you could piss off customers was done.

            And not just me. Any online place where TicWatch is mentioned has just such an overload of negative experiences it's crazy. Never seen a brand with such a low rep.

              @hotphil: Looking at Ticwatch 3 pro software update cycle. I wonder if the Ticwatch 5's wear OS 3 will ever get an update to 4.0. On the other hand the sensors on the 3 Pro are a complete trash! Ended up with an Huawei after deciding between Tic 5 and GT 3 despite not having wear OS.

      Just be aware that they've been saying it will get Wear OS 3 for over 2 years now. And if it does, it's the "no Google Assistant" kind.

    I brought the Pro 5 recently, the dual screen is cool and the battery seriously can go 4 / 5 days. Battery life is pretty good on this too.
