    Does anyone know if AirBnB provides refunds easily for bookings made via gift card (AirBnB balance)?
    I am planning to book something using gift cards but want to confirm that refund would not be difficult with this payment method.

        Thanks, I was reading somewhere that payments made via credit card or other methods got refunded immediately but those made via gift card/ AirBnB balance was not refunded. Perhaps it was some old issue.

          I have seen AirBNnB credit payments refunded within about 5 - 7 mins of cancellation.

          Airbnb gift card credits are refunded almost instantly. The vouchers that Airbnb issues (for compensation, relocation etc) are not refunded.

      You can leave your oops towel in the tub in the hotel no problem. Do that in an AirBnB and you get charged $400.

      For Families, generally Airbnb is cheaper, as most hotels you have to buy 2 rooms.

      For singles & couples hotels are usually cheaper in big cities/popular destinations.

      Of course you need to do your research. Obviously Airbnb is better if you need an apartment/house with a kitchen etc and need the amenities.
      If you just want a place to sleep, hotel is the way to go but yeah

        Ahh with giftcards, I would assume this is likely a credit card fraud prevention thing then until the payment is completely processed by the bank.

      I haven't received mine either, I also can't see the transaction on my CC statement just yet. Perhaps Amazon has some type of time-based fraud detection before they release the gift codes with specific banks/CCs.
