  • FYI, this worked on an old Baby Wishlist of mine with Birthdate listed as March 22

    • +1

Same. Worked on my list from 2021

  • +1

    doesn't work. already claimed.

  • +5

If this is the same bin that requires the cartridges, you’re better off with the Ubbi imo. The ubbi you can use any plastic bag

    • +1

You will have to empty these every week or so after first few months, and the cartridges are expensive compared to just any plastic bag. So really worth spending extra on a bin that doesn't use proprietary cartridges if you plan on keeping your baby past 12 months.

    • +1

We found the ubbi wasn’t great at keeping the smell in. Every time we opened it up a big waft would come back up. The twist system on the Tommy is good to keep the smell in.

(Although if you’ve got any tips on the ubbi please let me know)

      • That’s true because there’s no twist mechanism for the ubbi to trap the smell. But there is no smell when the lid is shut, just to clarify for others. The only tip I can offer is we take the number 2s out to the waste bin directly. It mitigates the waft but there’s still the pee smell.

  • Thanks OP got one and had it in my wishlist

    • Does it still work? It doesn't work for me. Still charging me for full price

      • Did you add something else from your cart that was already in your baby wishlist?

        • +1

Also doesn't show until you get to the final screen (past the address and payment selection pages).

        • Yes, I added 50$ worth of baby stuff to the cart but the bin still show as full price.

          • @SR9: Needs to be sold and delivered by Amazon.
It'll also have a price on it but if you have say ~$46 in your cart, it'll still be $46 just distributing the cost over all the items in your cart but the discount will include the $34.99 for the bin
(I did this yesterday and received my bin today)

            • @MissDemeanour: I added Philips Avent Baby Bottle Drying Rack, White, SCF149/00 for $29 and Medela Breastmilk Bottle 150ml with Wide Base Teat, Pack of 3 for $23.19 which should be $52.19 both sold by Amazon AU then added the bin total becomes $87.18 at the payment page. Not sure what went wrong.

              • @SR9: I just added both items to my wishlist then added to the cart (don't do it before). Came to $44.36 with my completion discount of 15%
Then went back to the baby wishlist page, added the bin and all three items still $44.36

                Items: $87.18
                Delivery: $0.00
                Order Total: $87.18
                Promotion(s) Applied: -$42.82
                Order Total: $44.36

But the bin says "We're sorry. This item is not purchasable now. We suggest you to remove it." not sure if it's because I already claimed it or it's now out of stock

                • +1

@MissDemeanour: Thanks for your help. I managed to get the bin but with a different item purchased. I purchased 2 boxes of Curash wipes for $44.80 then the discount applied. Not sure the other 2 items I wanted could not get the discount.

FK off I just bought the bin last week

  • Thanks OP, got the bin with a pack of Huggies nappy that is currently on sale for $51 S&S, great deal

    • how does S&S work with this? its $60 without it

      • +4

You add the item to your cart first as one-time purchase and then tick the box 'save 15% more with S&S' at checkout. Enjoy!

        • brilliant - thanks.

  • +1

Ah crap, boys size 4 nappies back to full price :(
    Nothing else useful for me!

  • +1

Warning, this bin is cheap because they charge you more for their proprietary bin bags over time. It's much cheaper to get a slightly more expensive bin and go with generic cheap bin bags.

  • Deleted my wishlist and recreated a new one and doesnt seem to work :(

    • FYI Your Baby Wishlist must be active for at least 14 days to be eligible for the discount.
Damn! By then the 300 will be gone.

    • Keep trying I only created my baby wish list today and still managed to get the bin. Just try different items though. Some items don't work.

  • These bins are crap, they somehow smell worse than just a normal bin with a flappy lid.

    • +1

From what I've read, ever since they swapped to "bio-based" plastic it does not trap the smell very good.
Might or might not work better with aftermarket refills

  • Limited to first 300 customers only.

    probably all gone?

    • Quite possible. For me it says "We're sorry. This item is not purchasable now. We suggest you to remove it." but I did also claim it yesterday when the promo started

      • Came up with that error a lot for me with other items (not the bin) until I found one that worked

  • With regards to the baby registry completion discount, does it stack with the S&S 15% as well or separate?

    • Yes, I was able to buy size 2 nappies with S&S and still get the bin.

  • Just bought some QV baby oil and QV cream and add the Tommee Tippee Bin
Got the cart automatically added the discount of $34.99

Looks like it is still working for me

    • I would not recommend QV baby oil, it's not made from real babies

      • My baby have moderate eczema issues and QV baby bath oil is what recommended by the pediatrician

  • FWIW this is still working. Just bought a pack of nappies and was able to claim it.

The cassettes can be refilled to save money in the long run.
    100m equals 10 cassettes apparently.
    $29.99 100m
    $57.99 200m
    $89.99 400m

Note: I have not tried the bin or these refills so I have no idea what I am talking about.

    • I ordered something similar https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B081RYQ78F last year
While its cheaper, however it does takes time to fill in the "refill"
and with human hand, it is basically not possible to fit in 10m in a cassette
maximum I can put by hand is around 8m
And my wife is complaining that she need to replace the cassette more frequently

      • Do you find the refill traps the smell better or worse then the included "bio based" plastic ones tommee tippee use?

        • TBH I dont feel the difference in terms of smell, both the official one and these third party are good in terms of blocking the smell
Just be sure to "twist a few more times" for each dump then smell can mostly be blocked
I think I notice is the official one is slightly thinner than the third party one, which makes "cutting" when changing the liner a bit easier too

  • +1

can stack it with the welcome baby list promo

  • Such a shit show; took at least 3 combinations (all items were to be sold and delivered from Amazon) for it to finally work.

  • so the way this works total pricing is reduced by the price of the bin, meaning if you return everything but keep the bin you still eventually pay a portion (discounted) for the bin. in case anyone is thinking of buying and returning their purchase but keeping the bin.
