    It’s a great doorbell.
Plenty of mounts for every scenario available on thingiverse

    • Thanks for the tip. What's the best and cheapest way to get one made in Australia please?

      • +6

I can do prints for free (you pay shipping) :))

  • I need Wifi one (non-PoE), https://reolink.com/au/product/reolink-video-doorbell-wifi/
Do you know what size SD card it comes with as default if ordered from reolink website?

Whereas, options with this deal are:
    WiFi Doorbell Chime (AU$140.03 / AU$311.17 55% off)
    WiFi Bell Chime 32G (AU$156.84 / AU$348.52 55% off)
    WiFi Bell Chime 128G (AU$172.23 / AU$382.73 55% off)
    WiFi Bell Chime 256G (AU$196.03 / AU$435.63 55% off)

    • No SD card by default, at least none came with mine - but I think you can choose to add that on?

I paid around $140 for the PoE version in the most recent sale on the Reolink website. It’s been fantastic. I hooked it up through Scrypted so that it appears as a native HomeKit doorbell in the Apple Home app and records to the HomeKit Secure Video cloud.
It’s fast, easy to set up and the picture quality is great. Even with direct sunlight behind visitors, their face is still visible.
    No issues. Yet.

Same except I used home assistant to do the bridge

  • Be aware your current wired doorbell power supply(AC 5v) might not be sufficient for the voltage requirement(AC 9-12v) of their doorbell.
Unless you are willing to pay for a sparky to install it for you. Otherwise, I would recommend getting a battery-powered video doorbell.

I bought a wifi version and sent it back for a refund today.

      It's PoE.

      • OP did mention the wifi version.

          Deal states:

Reolink Video Doorbell (PoE) w/ Chime US$79.97 (~AU$120) Delivered @ Reolink Official Store AliExpress

      • Both versions (poe and wifi) also support "12-24VAC 50/60Hz, DC 24V"
So they can be retrofitted to some old door bell systems.

        • PoE version doesn't require separate power though. That it is why it is called PoE.

          • @jv: Yeh i know, thats why I said "also".

I.e… you can power it two ways… via PoE… or AC/DC

Unfortunately 5v isnt enough, which is what the guy above was trying to attempt..

  • Safe to start calling this OzB's favourite doorbell?
I found linking with Google Home, its a bit slow to be useful to check the door, but we have a security screen, I can always get the phone up a bit faster if I need to.
I put a Samsung Endurance Pro MicroSD 128GB, was $34 or something in a recent Amazon deal. Been awesome for replaying. Good day quality, night quality is surprisingly excellent.
Only downside is the Google Home takes about 10 seconds to start the link ("Hey Google, show the doorbell"). I heard voice features aren't excellent as there is also a second delay or so, but havent really had a use case for that yet. Overall - Do recommend!
(Linked direct via Ubiquiti Dream Machine SE PoE)

It’s just so reliable, easily flexible and at a good price point.
You can connect it to frigate and get more flexibility through coral or CUDA detection.

It works self hosted even on a VLAN, and there’s no cloud based bulldung subscription fees

  • I think i will wait for my next model. Sad it isn't a dual cam. One for the face tracking and another for the package on my door step.

    • +3

Alright mate no need to brag about the size of your package

      • The dual camera one has zoom to find small packages

        • to find small packages

Now we can laugh about your package.

  • This or the eufy doorbell?

  • Their website says the POE version does not have rich notifications. Does it mean there wont be any notification on the phone if someone rings the bell or is at the door?

    • +1

You still get a notification on your phone.

Rich notification means the notification can include media such as a picture of who is at the door.

Without rich notification, to see who rung the doorbell, you tap the notification and it opens the camera view.

  • Aus wifi model back in stock

    • Updated, thanks.

  • Is there a way to turn Off the LED circle/ring light ?

    • Doesn't seem to be - you can choose Auto or Auto and Always On at Night. Auto means it is off until triggered by button press, person detection or 2 way talk.

      • Oh ok… Thanks!
