        108 on ebay :(

        • Me too :(

          • @Ruke: Could buy this one then do an eBay return with it if the eBay return is free (eBay Plus item for example). @Mr Fusi0n @Fappy Bunny

            • +2

@MiscOzB: Careful with this one, the retailers may keep track of serial numbers and accuse you of fraud

Missed out on the recent sales, just picked it up for 99.

  • +1

My OG MX Master (v1) died on me last week after 6 years of abuse… perfect timing

    • +1

Mine lasted 7 years, but couldn't survive a ginger beer tsunami. Bit sad that I couldn't revive it with a disassembly and a clean

  • Price match at officeworks??

    • +1

at this price, probs will get sold out before OW opens tmrw!

    • +2

no chance, this deal requires Prime membership.

      • Officeworks price beat this for me this morning.
Apparently they will price beat Prime Day Deals.

    • +2

Damn. Was hoping to swing by OW after work. Price was still higher than Amazon when I looked online this morning. Just checked now and OW have dropped the price to match Amazon - https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/logitech-m…

  • +8

Very tempting, but my 2S is still going strong.

    • +1

      Same. Bought anyway!

  • +2

This uses the bolt adapter which is a pain if you have existing unifying receiver usb dongles.

I have the 3, is there much difference honestly>?

    • +1

the clicks are silent and feel much better vs the 3……I am also contemplating if I should get this, currently using the 3 myself

    • You dont have to use the adaptor if your device has bluetooth, I use logi features to run the one mouse between my laptop and desktop without the dongle.

      • +1

I find the dongle gets better reception. I have my laptop sitting inside a server rack and the dongle works while the BT is flaky.

    • I don't think much aside from the silent clicks. I have the 3 as well but bought one of these so i can leave the original 3 setup on my work PC permanently then keep this one of the main rig.

  • I thought all the fuss about this mouse was over the top before I gave in and got one.. it really is great (although the thing I mainly like is the momentum wheel.. maybe you can get that on other mice, but at this price they're not likely to be a better deal

    • What mouse did you use before and how does it compare?
I'm currently using a gaming mouse, not sure whether to switch over.

    • I don't think there's anything else that has the momentum wheel - and yeah it's the main differentiating feature of this. It's so good for productivity work (scrolling logs or documents). It first came out on the MX Revo mouse and then I had to keep my MX Revo alive for about 7 years until they released the first MX Master.

      • +1

oh man, i remember getting the MX 5500 Revolution kb&m combo somewhere around 2007… the wheel in the mouse and the screen in the keyboard were mind-blowing at the time.

  • I just bought one. Arriving Thursday :)
    Thanks!

  • +3

My master 2 just won't die and let me upgrade!

    • Haha same, just asked and no one minds the click noise either!

  • Best mouse I've ever owned!

    Cracking price too.

  • Bought one. To replace my mx master 2s which I love. Excellent mouse.

  • +1

What does the 's' stand for?
I have the MX master 3 and wondering what the difference is?

    • +14

      (s)lightly better

      • OK cheers. Might grab one for a spare.

    • +2

I dont think there's much difference besides some refinement and a quieter clicking sound. I also have the original MX Master 3 but ordered one of these so I can have one permanently setup on the work PC.

    • Silent

  • +2

I've had the OG version for 7 years and it's still going strong. Amazing bit of kit.

  • What's a good keyboard I can pair this with? I use this at home, getting one for work as well.

    • +2

      MX Keys

      • +3

Better pairing is the new MX Keys S which uses the same Logitech Bolt receiver.

    • +3

Just rip the bandaid off and go full custom, it's a rabbit hole but if you spend a lot of time at a computer, using a keyboard that feels like heaven to type on is worth it

    • +1

Anything with buckling spring, which I think limits you to IBM Model M or a reproduction. That's what I started programming on and I haven't found a thing better IMHO. Yep I'm old.

      • beamsprings or nothing

    • +2

If you want to go mechanical, you can go with Logitech MK855 or the MX Mechanical (full or mini). They also use bolt.

  • +1

I've never had a decent mouse and spend 8+ hours per day in front of a screen. Let's try this out. Thanks OP.

    • +6

You won't understand how you were ever using anything else after getting this. I've had basically every iteration of these from Logitech (MX Revolution, MX Performance, MX Master 3 and now MX Master 3S)

  • It's been $94 in the last year, probably an eBay coupon code sale.

  • Is this any good for gaming?

    • I use for gaming and find it pretty good, I wouldn’t say I’m a pro by any stretch but for things like red dead redemption I find it very good

    • +1

It's not designed for gaming. It's a big and relatively heavy mouse. It fits comfortably in the hand, but it's not designed for twitch reactions.

      • thanks! good to know!

    • +2

My mate loves his mx 3 for all use cases. He doesn't play fps though. We play a lot of like craft survival games and he likes his games like factorio.

If you play fps. Get a different mouse. For casual gaming though it's probably fine, if not a bit heavy

    • I play a lot of tactical shooters and Armored Warfare (tank MMO game) and this mouse is terrible for that. It’s absolutely amazing for office and productivity work though.

I swap to a Razer Deathadder mouse for gaming.

    • Perfect for switching between games and work while working.

  • +2

Got it because of the likes and comments

  • Not waiting around on this one - ordered straight away. Have been waiting for this to drop below $100 to grab one to replace my original MX Master 3 which will now be relegated to a permanent work set up. Will be nice having a some form of an MX Master no matter where I am.

  • +3

Hey all, don't forget that the Logitech MX Vertical Mouse is also on sale for a bit less ($94.01). I had pains in my wrist after long-time office and gaming use. Within a week the pains were pretty much gone and I got used to the vertical style of it at the office. Didn't hamper my use of a normal gaming mouse at home either. Highly recommend.

    • +1

It would have been great if the vertical had side scrolling, since I use that a lot.

  • +3

My mx "anywhere" just won't die… I want a new mouse… But don't need one.

    • +2

Buy it and keep your old one as a spare :) That's what I did

    • Time for the MX Anywhere to stay at home, ordering MX Master now for use in the office. Don't really need it but it's clearly a step up from MX Anywhere…

  • best productivity mouse ! but it takes sometime to get used to because of its weight

    • Yeah i havent been the biggest fan after 2 months with one. Still prefer a lighter gaming mouse, even for work

  • Great mouse, I wish they put the channel select button on top, like the M720.

  • +1

Upgrading the skates to these https://ausmodshop.com/products/corepad-skatez-mouse-feet-fo…

And using a delta hub carpio 2.0 made a huge difference, the mouse slides much smoother now.

    • Holy cow! There are aftermarket mouse feet now.

I just learned the other day the extent people go to modify their keyboards, including lubing individual switches.

      • IKR I wanna put a subwoofer oh mine…

  • Switching everything to bolt is a pain.. but no way around it sadly…

  • I guess skip if you're a gamer amirite?

    • I have a G305 on a unifying receiver.
The only game I really play is Cities Skylines.
I think I will get this mouse

      • I'm still rocking the G400s lol

    • 125 Hz polling is pretty garbo for gaming, especially if you're using >60 Hz refresh rate.

Look at the sensor latency graph on Rtings and it looks like a staircase. Fine for most people doing productivity, but would irritate me.

      • Right, I have gone with the Razer Basilisk V3 Ergonomic instead. High rating on RT, only $48.

        • +1

If you're happy with wired, it's a great mouse.

Comfortable, great performance and optical switches are way less vulnerable to wear and tear click fails.

Some people have had battery or connectivity issues with the Hyperspeed X variant, but neither of those are a concern for your model, obivously.

  • Mx master with gaffa tape holding it together. Still going strong.

  • How's the ergonomics of this? I'm using an ergonomic mouse (tilted up, so wrist isn't flat) and I'm not sure I'd go back

  • I wonder why the Razer Basilisk V3 Ergonomic for $48 doesn't get any love from Oz? RT rated it very highly for gaming.

    • It's wired and Razer anything is very divisive.

    • I have two mice, MX Master 3S and Basilisk V3 . I don't do any gaming and love em both for work and browsing.

      • Thanks for your feedback, that's good to know.

  • $98.15 now

    • Does Amazon prime do price guarantee? I just registered for it this morning to buy this… my luck…

      • +4

Its only a dollar dude, dont sweat it.

        • +1

          Username doesn't checkout

      • +1

I just messaged Amazon customer support and they gave me $2 credit

  • "Any-surface tracking"
Got one of these recently and it jumps around a lot on my fabric mouse pad?? Not had other mice do that.. keep looking for dust or hair on the lense but its one section of the pad that does it (just above the top right central usage are so every time I go to close a window I hit the spot). Really surprised as this replaced a MX 1 and and other mouse in between and they had not issues.

  • +1

Does anyone experience scrolling issues when in ratchet mode? Mine doesnt scroll up properly unless I'm very precise with it. Many users on YouTube/Reddit experiencing the same issues too

  • +14

I got it for $89 via ltsaustralia's eBay store using a voucher. Not sure where I got the voucher from but it started with SNS…

    • Thanks for sharing! Cancelled my Amazon order and grabbed this one.

    • Don't have that code SNS, only PLUSTOPJUL

      • I tried looking at active codes here on ozb but couldn't find one that matched the SNS. Could it be one of those reward for spending ones?

        • If SNS… with numbers that is a targeted code.

          • @superforever: I thought so but even so there's usually a post that mentions the SNS.. code. I couldn't even find that.

    • Its this voucher:

"$10 when they spend $75-$199.99 (excluding postage) in one transaction;"

      https://pages.ebay.com.au/buyer_coupons/2023/snsmd5/

      • I saw that in my voucher page but I wasn't sure where I got it from.

    • +2

Stacked it with studentbeans for $79

    • Isn't Amazon more authentic than ebay, even if we have to pay a few dollars more, please suggest

      • +2

Hmm. They are supposedly an authorised Logitech reseller and they've featured a lot here on OzBargain. Lots of us have purchased from them and there haven't been too many complaints that I know of. Some people claim that they may have received a grey import item. I think I saw that once somewhere?

They have sold a lot of stuff and have 100% positive feedback. I've bought from them once before I think and there were no issues. Also, with eBay plus, if you have any issues you can always just get a refund I suppose.

  • Thanks mate, that's even better

  • Very tempting but my 2S also refuses to die, did the silent click mod last year and it's so much nicer in the office. New bolt adapter also is a bit of a deal breaker since I still use a single unified for both MX keys and MX master 2S, don't want to upgrade both just for the sake of it.

  • so tempted to get one but i already have 2 * 3S.. given the discount is going on in multiple places, it seems they are clearing up the stock before a new product release. I will wait for the new model.
