  • Any recommendations for a quality wired set like this, but also has a microphone? Would want to use it with my PS5, plugged into the controller

I've done exactly this on a PC with a V-Moda Boom Pro in-line mic.

Bought it based on a bunch of online reviews. I think it's just ok, sound quality is better than what you'd get out of most headset mics, but only slightly.

Not sure how it would go being powered by a PS5 (plug into controller? or directly into console). Could probably google this combo as it's pretty common for a lot of gamers who are looking to use much better headphones than a headset.

I have used this combo with my ps5, as these headphones don’t really need an amp, works quite well from the controller

    • Just get a V-MODA BoomPro mic.

      • Had tab open before Powershopz commented sorry

  • Got a pair, decent to have around I think. Bought them around a year or two years ago. Can't say I really rate the sound quality too much, and tend to find myself just listening to music on airpods. Every now and then I throw them on to hear a song in a different way and enjoy them for that. Plus they look nice, so cool to have on a stand somewhere as a desk ornament lol.

  • I've got some Phillips that look like these and have had them for about 20 years. Good brand

  • the L2 is even cheaper at $145. How does it compare to that?

  • +3

Have had mine for about 4 years now.

Pretty comfortable but the pad material collects dirt easily.
Unlike some faux leather pads though this has stayed in shape and not broken apart.

Sound OK without equalisation but lacking in sub-bass.

I would check out EQ presets here for any headphone and not just the X2HR
