  • I’ve got to be doing something wrong here. I’m getting $105 delivered for the two 512gb cards. Any advice on how to get the lower price?

    • +3

Have you proceeded to checkout? Not just to cart? Then it takes the 20% off:

      Order Summary
      Items: $133.64
      Delivery: $0.00
      Total: $133.64
      Promotion(s) Applied: -$55.36

    • +1

It's working for me. Are you a Prime member?

      • +1

Must be to get $105. That's $52.50ea at prime exclusive price.

  • +3

Oh there you go, discount shows at checkout, not in cart. Thanks team! Appreciate the assist.

  • +1

Took me longer than it should to get my head around how that discount was working…. very sneaky, nice find.

Purchased, will have to think of where to use them later. The typical ozbargain way.

    • +3

Thanks to this Play-Doh deal. I had 2 in my cart for testing quantity availability and was trying to work out why the total was so much lower than 10% off.

  • Damn what a great deal. 16$ for 256G? i dont even know where to use this 😂

    • +3

      Switch?

    • +5

i dont even know where to use this

Put the 512GB one in a tiny USB card reader, and you can keep half a terabyte of storage in the coin section of your wallet.

Here's the reader I use, smaller than most USB FIT drives: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/392503785565

But this is better than a FIT drive: if the case or USB plug gets crushed or damaged, throw away the reader and plug the card into a new reader. Coins in your wallet can be pretty harsh on the plastic case.

If you want a USB3 reader, they are available, but I haven't seen any really small ones. The ones I have seen are about twice the size of the USB2 reader linked above.

      • Nice, I was looking for a good cheap reader. I fire up an old laptop when I need to burn a raspberry pi image or something

      • What about these, USB3 and ~$6 (free postage)
Assume coming from China, 2 week.

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/385524098399?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

        • I have that reader, for use with full-size SD cards. It works fine, but it's rather large if you were thinking of keeping it in the coin section of your wallet. The cards also stick out quite some distance, so the cards look like a flag and the reader like a flagpole.

The tiny one keeps the micro-sd card enclosed within the reader.

          • @Russ: Nah would never carry it around (can copy onto phone storage if need be), it's just good to have a card reader of some sort as the new monitors don't have one these days.

Either would be ok I guess, Cheers.

    Damn that's a good deal

  • +1

Wow, this is a bit nuts.
    Hope it’s honoured.

  • +1

No idea how this discount works nevertheless, i ordered

  • Mix and match with some of the full size SD cards (check each capacity) from this deal from Hamza23 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/787732

  • +2

Dont need it. still bought it.

  • Great deal - cheers OP ;)

  • +4

12 years ago I bought a 500GB portable hard drive for like $75. Now I can get the same amount of Micro SD cards for less than half that price wow

  • Anyone used these with Insta 360 One X or Go Pro's? Seems compatible with UHS-1 and V30

    https://www.insta360.com/support/supportcourse?post_id=12979

  • Best value for money out of the two available? Thinking of planning ahead for a future Steam Deck purchase

    • 2x 256GB = $31.80 vs 1x 512GB at $39.14
So it is clear which is more value for money, and you can also hot swap between MicroSD cards with the Steam Deck.

      • i don't have steam deck, for saving $7.3, do you need to remember which game is on which card?

  • +1

I use these in my a7iii without issue, glad I checked Ozbargin the moment before bed.

  • +1

Thanks, I ordered one 512gb and one 256gb.

  • +1

Are these good for dash cam pls, i,e Viofo? Or maybe I should get the endurance one? Thanks

    • +3

considering the cheap price, i'd go with this. my unknow card in my dash worked 5 years now and still going. at least this is samsung.

    • +2

honestly I've used a lot of types of sd cards in dash cams and none have failed, endurance, ultra, extreme pro

    • Thanks both, I bought 2 x 256GB.

  • Thanks OP.
Just what I needed for my Onlyfans as my specials were filling up the small cards.

  • +1

Bought 2x 512gb. Now I need to find something to buy to use them in. Looks like it meets the GoPro minimum spec, good excuse to buy a hero11

  • +1

Haven't been following the grading system for micro sd cards for years. How are these rated for use in a Switch or a Miyoo Mini Plus?

    • +2

      works very well

      • Thank you!

  • Works on any multiple more than 2 it seems. Not that it really matters with free shipping. Unless you want an odd number of them. Now you can!

    • i only want 1x 512G, can not find another item useful to me from the us store……still hunting

      • Haha sorry, correction "unless you want an odd number of them greater than 1. Now you can!"

        • Ended up paired 24pk gel pen with 512 card. Had a lot 256g on hand. Just don't want to miss a 512 deal. Lol $14ish for the pen and $37ish for the card

  • Cheers, got 12 256gb

    • 12 units?

  • Thanks OP, bought 2x 512GB great price.

  • Still able to purchase 2x 512gb, not sure why the deal has been marked as expired!

    • Is it working? How much does it show for 2?

      • $78.28 at checkout

    • Because the 256g is expired and I think op put end date as 12/7 when post

  • Same. Just got my order in.

  • I think it has expired now. Showing $105.00 for 2x 512.

    • Yeah the 10% off promo was removed from this item a few hours ago so marked expired then.

    • I am interested to buy a 512gb card if anyone has extra. I am in Chatswood or North Sydney area.

  • Does anyone want to go halves?
I didn't order hoping someone ordered extra, location sydney

  • H2testw for the 256gb:
Warning: Only 244414 of 244416 MByte tested.
    Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
    Writing speed: 79.8 MByte/s
    Reading speed: 86.9 MByte/s
    H2testw v1.4

    • Is that good results?

Can I use that to test my old cards for errors?

      • Well, it says it could go faster "FAST AND SMOOTH: With superfast U3, class 10 rated transfer speeds of up to 130MB/s¹,²and UHS-I Interface³ big apps load and run smoothly, while 4K video remains sharp with A2, V30, and USH-I Interface".

    • Seems fine.
Hardly any of the HDD/m.2 enclosures I have go as fast as stated, probably need to spend a heap on lacie drives for proper performance.
