    You pay the price for the "WD Red" logo.
    otherwise the 850X for $360ish was the way to go

      You pay for the 5100 TBW rating. 850X is about half of that. Not something desktop user cares but for someone building a backup / NAS then it matters.

    is lexar a reliable brand?
    i had 2x silicon power nvmes that lasted a month and 11tbw before they died.

    [ my nas's backup app has a feature that results in heaps of writes - and which has now been disabled ]
