International Multi City Flights Modification

Hi,

I am looking for some advice.

I am planning a trip in October which includes multiple cities in the USA.

The proposed flights would look like:
SYD > LAX > HON > SYD

however, I might end up dropping off the return flight to SYD.

What is the best way to try and accommodate this variable?

SYD > LAX > SYD then book internal US flights for generally much cheaper as needed. They're basically shuttle buses in the air.

  My big variable is the flight back to Sydney!
  
  If i secure a cruise back to Sydney, then, what works out the best (most affordable) way to accommodate the remove of the last leg?

Just call the airline and amend and accept that you might get very little back due to the fare construction

Or don’t book the flight back from what I assume is HNL and fly Jetstar if you can’t get your cruise

Book SYD-LAX-HNL and on a separate ticket book Jetstar HNL-SYD with a Flex Bundle which gives you the option to cancel for a Jetstar voucher, assuming you can use the voucher in the next 3 years.

If however SYD-LAX-HNL-SYD works out cheaper than the above then just do that. You can just throw away the last leg and not show up for it.
