It was a 3 pack with no charger for this price a few months back.

In before Blah blah blah inflation blah blah blah.

    • Different $99 Deal as didn't include the charger!

    • +1

Why would you want 3 batteries and no way to charge them?

      • +3

You may have bought a kit in the past which includes one. I've got a dual charger, and 2 single chargers that came with kits (presents).

    • How do I access expired deals?

Do I just show it on my phone at the shop?

      Thanks.

      • That's it.

  • so ozito is the handy man grade?

    • +2

Ozito is more the DIY Home Tools.

    • +5

I have never seen any professionals use Ozito. They all use the higher end brands and swear by them. But some comments on Bunnings say otherwise.
But IMO many Ozito tools build quality is decent enough to last a long time for general home use.

      • +4

The furniture assembly guys were using the Ozito drill. Definitely surprised me.

      • +1

I don't think the awesome return/warranty policy applies to professionals. Tradies I know prefer the other red tools - Milwaukee.

        • +2

I don't think the awesome return/warranty policy applies to professionals.

Correct. If you use Powerpass to purchase Ozito = no warranty, as pro use is specifically excluded in warranty terms.

          • +1

@DashCam AKA Rolts: That makes sense. Cheers

          • @DashCam AKA Rolts: That's just BS!!!!

I have powepass and have freely replaced two ozito tools that were faulty within the five years.
Treat tools with repsect and don't tradie trash them and Bunnings honours the warranty.

One was a leaf blower and the other a spiral mixing drill for mortar etc. No Q's asked.

            • @BBF: You're correct. I actually asked them about the powerpass thing once when I was buying something and the lady said it didn't matter if I used it or not because they can't prove it was trade use and the warranty would stand

              • @DashCam AKA Rolts: Cowboys probably get less warranty.

Polite, respectful, real tradies will always get warranty. Be cool….

                • @BBF: From the Ozito PXC warranty:

                  5 YEAR REPLACEMENT WARRANTY
Your Product is guaranteed for a period of 60 months from the original date of purchase and is intended for DIY (Do It Yourself) use only. If a product is defective it will be replaced in accordance with the terms of this warranty. Lithium Ion batteries and chargers are covered by a 36 month warranty and are excluded from the warranty extension. Warranty excludes consumable parts.

This is why a Powepass purchase may prove problematic.

I've been abusing my Ozito drill for 5 yrs and even used an auger bit with it to dig a whole in the garden and it never gave up on me. IMO some of the Ozito tools built really good - even better that the Ryobi, an example would be the Ryobi pressure washer that I bought and gave up after only uses vs the Ozito washer that I've been using for aeons.

        • +1

Agree, I have the Ozito washer and I am happy with it. Especially for the price.

          • +1

@John Doh: I think a lot of the Ozito hate is a relic from the past. The PXC range is literally rebranded Einhell and all designed in Germany. Treat their grey stuff with a bit of scepticism but the PXC range is as good as it gets for the price.

        • +1

          Dug a whole what?

        • Gave up after only uses?

  • Good on worksites, yes don’t last s long, but they don’t get stolen…..

    • Yes.

      • +1

That lawnmover already has batteries supplied with it.

  • +1

No one on OzB should ever be buying or comparing Ozito 4Ah batteries at their "RRP" …

    • +1

A true OzBargainer buys the plastic housing direct from the manufacturer and puts their own discounted Eneloops in it.

      • Clearly you have never looked inside the plastic housing.

        • +2

          I'm obviously being sarcastic…

    • I'll ask the mods to add that to the ozbargain rules of engagement wiki.

  • Got one from Bunnings Cannington. Have 29 remaining in stock

  • Can someone advise the bit set for ozito drill

  • Damn, would have preferred this to the 3 batts for $99. Would love a dual charger for the convenience.

  • Thinking of using them with an adapter for Makita tools. Anybody that tried this out there. Makita batteries feel like straight up robbery to me

    • +1

I have used an adaptor on DeWalt. The ozito 5ah doesn't last as long as DeWalt 4ah if that's any indication. Used on DeWalt whipper snipper. Good for backups but a higher end brand will be better quality. The adaptor for mine was not cheap either..

    • imo Makita 5ah batteries can be had for fair price and my oldest have lasted 5+ years in daily trade use. I would say they are good value.

I also have an adaptor to use PXC batt on Makita, and it works but is cumbersome, definitely not fit for trade use. I use it to run Makita lights aso at home.
I only have PXC 4ah batteries and they seem to be on par with Makita 3ah batteries. but haven't tested them methodically.

      • I see, ta.
Literally, how do you get cheap Makita batteries?
Even, empirically, on par with 3ah Makita batteries, they would be approx one quarter of the cost.
I need batteries for household/diy use

        • makita 5ah for $100 is fair imo. these sales come up once inna while. and since the batteries last forever it hasn't been a problem.
if you just use a makita whipper-snapper at home then sure, get an adapter or third-party "makita". but the adapter that I bought cost ~ around $35. and you can only use one tool at a time with this. And I wouldn't really use it with a drill or other hand tool for more than emergencies, when else is not available.

So for me PXC + adaptor is slightly cheaper but imo not good value compared to Makita 5ah.

Adapters work though, so give it a try, maybe it works better for your use case.

        • +1

Literally, how do you get cheap Makita batteries?

You can always buy 5Ah Makita batteries brand new for $100 or less from Gumtree/FB market. Lots of people sell batteries that came with kits because they have too many batteries.

  • +2

I bought an Ozito adaptor off eBay to run an older Dyson vacuum whose battery gave up the ghost. Works well.
Better than the smaller built in battery you have to wait to recharge if it dies half way through vacuuming. Just put a 2nd battery in (yes I already had the batteries)

  • Which ozito tools are worth the saving over ryobi?

    • Both go on special from time to time.
